Ha Giang Bike Tours
Ha Giang bike tours is our collection of Vietnam best bike tours we arrange in Ha Giang province, northern Vietnam – Ha Giang loop cycling, Ha Giang bike tour, Ha Giang bike loop, Ha Giang bicycle tour. These Ha Giang cycling tours are private guided tours, so you can ride at your own pace.
Ha Giang is located in the far north of Vietnam, surrounded by Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai and Yen Bai, and contains Vietnam’s northernmost point. It shares a long border with the south of China, and impresses visitors with its high karst plateau, steep hills, winding roads and ethnic diversity. Ha Giang is ideal not only for mountain biking, but also for other outdoor activities such as trekking and camping.
Coming to Ha Giang, cyclists will have an opportunity to interact with local hill tribes — there are 22 ethnic minorities in the region — and bike the most challenging cycling routes in Vietnam, passing by beautiful limestone valley, surrounded on all sides by mountains, and Dong Van, known for its traditional Hmong homes.
Most travelers go on a loop of most northern Ha Giang (Tam Son, Yen Minh, Dong Van, Meo Vac, Lung Cu …). Note that the roads are tarmacked almost throughout, but they are narrow, winding, going steep both up and down and with potholes here and there and hence quite demanding to ride. The alternative option is to see part of Ha Giang province, in Hoang Su Phi, Xin Man, and finish the bike ride in Lao Cai before you take the train trip for Hanoi.
For a Ha Giang cycling tour from Hanoi try to allocate at least 5 days. You can also do Ha Giang bicycle loop in 4 days or even 3 days, but it will be harder or you will need to spend most of the time in the van. At Vietnam Cycling we highly recommend the 8 day Ha Giang cycling loop. The adventure begins from Hanoi with a car transfer to Ha Giang city, from there you begin cycling uphill to Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Dong Van, Meo Vac, and then go down to Bao Lac. The trip is concluded with a relaxing day in Ba Be national park where you enjoy a leisurely boat trip on Ba Be Lake. Just follow the itinerary below to contact us for a free quote.
This is the route that elicits strong emotions and tests the traveler's most resoluteness, perseverance, and endurance.
Its top is more than 2000 meters above sea level, and it is situated between 1500 and 1800 meters above sea level.
Cycling through the Sapa mountains and towns will offer you the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the stunning mountains covered in dense rain forest, lush plantations, natural environment, and hospitable people from many ethnic minority groups with their vibrant and amazing cultures and customs.
Y Ty is situated at an elevation of more than 2,000 meters, sloping back into the mountains that are covered in clouds nearly all year round. Its summit is 2,660 meters high. The sun may only shine for 12 hours of the day in one small area. The mansion in the towering skies is Y Ty, the path that leads through zigzag lines and sinks into the leaves of the forest. Is it true that many individuals have the impression that they are entering a universe apart from our own when the next Y Ty arrives?

Vietnam's Northern Bicycle Holiday has some of the country's top cycling routes. Our bicycle route stays away from Vietnam's renowned highways and sees very few visitors. With its breathtaking karstic rock formations, thatched roof stilted homes, and mountains tucked between limestone outcrops, the Vietnamese environment is truly breathtaking. The majority of Vietnam's hill tribes are concentrated in this area.
