Day 1: Arrive in Yangon

Welcome to Myanmar, the country just opened itself to the world and now waiting people to discover its unique Buddhist culture and heritage.

Upon your arrival in Yangon, the former capital of Myanmar but nowadays one of the most developed city in Myanmar, your local guide will welcome you at the airport then escort you to hotel.

Day 2: Flight to Bagan | Explore Ancient Bagan by Electric Scooter

After breakfast this morning you will transfer to airport for fly to Bagan, upon arrive you will transfer to hotel for check in. This afternoon enjoy the freedom of a regular bicycle, but without the effort, on this fun tour of the ancient city of Bagan. Hop on your eco-friendly electric bike and take a relaxing ride through Bagan stopping every now and then to explore the temples, take pictures, and hear the relevant history and stories behind the ancient ruins.

Pass through the magnificent Tharabar Gate and visit the 201-foot-tall Thet Bi Nyu Temple; and Dhamayangyi Pahto, the largest temple in Bagan. Cycle to the beautifully preserved Ananda Temple. The combination of standing Buddha images, stone sculptures, sandstone reliefs, exquisite terracotta tiles, and teakwood carvings make this one of the finest and most revered of the Bagan temples.

Stop at a teashop to refresh yourselves with some Myanmar tea and snacks. Then continue to the sleepy village of Myinkaba where you can watch local artisans creating beautiful lacquerware in the many workshops.

Day 3: Morning Hot Air Balloon Ride, Bagan/Mt.Popa – Sunset Dinner Cruise

Enjoy a exciting morning Hot Air Balloon Ride in Bagan.

Ordinarily an average of 45 mins of flight duration is expected. However, the entire experience will last about 2 1/2 hours. On landing, our fully trained Myanmar ground crew will pack the balloon whilst passengers enjoy a glass or two of celebratory champagne. 

Balloons over Bagan is a private Myanmar company that is committed to the preservation of Bagan and its environment. A contribution from each flight will be donated to community programmes that directly benefit the local population. drifting over a panorama of a thousand ancient pagodas, silent in the shadow of low-slung mountains and against the banks of the mighty Irrawaddy river.

After the flying, then back to hotel for breakfast. This morning start your scenic drive to Mount Popa, an extinct volcano with its golden shrines. Situated 50 km southeast of Bagan, this solitary peak showcases the Popa Taungkalat shrine, the favored home of Myanmar’s most powerful “Nats” (local spirits), statues of which can be found at its base.

These spirits were once so important to the country's early Kings that it was essential for them to consult the Nats before commencing their reign. The shrine is located at the top of the mountain , and if you have the energy, take off your shoes and socks to climb to the top (well worth the climb!) Along the way are a multitude of monkeys expecting treat!

Along the way, stop by local village to learn about local culture and lifestyle. Then enjoy lunch at a hill resort.   On the way back visit a palm sugar workshop, where the harvested nectar from local trees is cooked into the sugar cubes we see in teashops today.

Perfect way to experience the elegant sunset and discover the Bagan of Lights from its very heart, the River of Ayeyarwaddy. Provided with unparalleled views of Bagan’s landmarks illuminated by the night as you enjoy a welcome cocktails and buffet dinner on the cruise.

Day 4: Flight to Inle Lake| Excursion by Long Tail Boat

This morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Heho. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel, the for check in.

Your Excursion today will be on a private long tail boat to see how the In-tha tribe (name of local ethnic people) live on the lake. You’ll discover their unique floating farms and life on the water. Also witness local fisherman who fish while using only one leg to paddle the boat. Then visit the Long Neck Ladies who were relocated from the Myanmar and Thailand border.

Day 5: Inle – Taunggyi – Kekku – Inle

Meals: B / L

After breakfast, drive to Taung Gyi, the capital city of Shan State. Taung Gyi won the prize in the year 2005 the Best City of Myanmar and Ideal City. On the way, you can visit the first Official Vineyard of Myanmar producing the wine called Ayetharyar Wine. You can stop at the factory viewing the Vines on the hill-side and try the four different Wines at the Winery Bar enjoy the view overlooking the whole vineyard.

Afterwards continue your drive to Taung Gyi and pick up your local Pa-O Guide at the Pa-O National Organization Head-quarters. The Kakku Pagoda Complex is situated in the Pa-O Territory and it is a must to register and buy the entrance ticket at that office as well as to have a Pa-O accompany. Then, drive to Kakku (approx: 2 and a half hour). You will drive past several Pa-O villages on the way and also the fertile lands; Wheat, Sesame, Rice, Cauliflower, Onions and some vegetables are grown in those fields and make some stops to take the photos.

Upon arrival at Kakku, you may enjoy lunch first or you can explore Kakku Pagoda Complex first. Kakku has more than 2000 Shan Style pagodas and the complex is well-preserved by the PNO. You can spend more or less one hour walking around in the precinct taking pictures, observing the tiny figures on the small temples. Walk up to the central Pagoda and meet with the Swine Statue from the legend of pagoda complex. In the afternoon, drive back to Taung Gyi and you can visit one of the Pa-O villages on the way back. After saying farewell to the Pa-O The transfer back to hotel.

Day 6: Inle Lake Fly to Yangon – Half Day City Tour

Meals: B / L

This morning you will transfer to airport for flight to Yangon, upon arrive your local guide and driver will be waiting for you at the airport and transfer to hotel.

In the afternoon, visit Kandawgyi Park near Chaukhtetgyi Reclining Buddha Image – one of the largest in Yangon. Continue to the highlight of Yangon: the golden Shwedagon Pagoda, which has been described as one of the wonders of the world. Shwedagon plays a very important role in the Old Burmese History and also is an important Buddhist icon. Enjoy the sunset over the pagoda.

Day 7: Fly to Siem Reap via Bangkok

This morning, enjoying your free time, then transfer to airport onward flight to Siem Reap, the city where the famous world wonder Angkor Wat Temple locates. Upon arrival at Siem Reap airport, you will meet your local guide then escort to hotel.

Day 8: Temple Touring Full Day

Breakfast is at hotel. We depart hotel at 8.00am for full day guided Angkor exploration, start with Elephant ride around Bayon Temple the most impressive temple in Angkor Thom city and  is really one of the most spectacular ruins of Angkor, its gigantic smiling faces looking at different directions, so the elephant ride around the Bayon is an interesting and meaningful ride to explore the faces and see its huge scale from out side. after elephant riding you will visit Baphuon, Phimeanakas, terrace of leper king, terrace of elephant & Ta Prohm temple adorned with the stunning tree roots where Lara Croft Tomb Raider was filmed. 

After lunch, continue to witness the marvelous Angkor Wat – the world’s heritage listed by UNESCO in 1992 and the largest monument in the world. Unlock the amazing history, its ancestral incredible, architectural masterpieces and the finest carvings dates back to the Khmer Empire when it dominated the largest parts of Southeast Asia. On your way back to Siem Reap, enjoy the sunset from the top of the pyramid-shaped temple of Pre Rup.

Day 9: Half Day Tonle Sap Lake – Chong Kneas, Fly to Danang – Hoi An

Meals: B / L

This morning, we travel to Chong Kneas village’s boat pier. The journey takes approximately 30mins with some highlights of Siem Reap City. Once we arrived the pier, we process to embark a private sheltered boat to explore Tonle Sap Lake; the largest freshwater lake in South East Asia and is also an ecological hot spot that was designated as a UNESCO biosphere in 1997. The boat excursion takes us passing floating school, mangroves, floating houses which animated by some fishing activities. Our tour guide will explain you about Tonle Sap ecosystem and witness how life works in the floating community, and we stop to see floating crocodile farm, souvenirs shop if it interests you.

This afternoon you will transfer to airport for flight to Danang, upon arrive your local guide and driver will be waiting for you at the airport and ready to transfer you to hotel in Hoi An for check in. The rest of the day free at your own leisure.

Day 10: Century Cham Ruins and Hoi An Ancient Port Town

Meals: B / L

In the morning, travel to the My Son Holy Land. Tucked in the mountains up winding roads with serene views, the 4th century My Son Holy Land ruins. The surrounding mountains are strictly forbidden for living or development. The ruins lie in a beautiful mountainous landscape. Enter the temples to hear all about the history and stories of the Cham people and this holy site. 

In the afternoon, continue on to the Ancient Capital of Hoi An, which features the 16th century port town in its preserved state. Visit the Museum of Trade Ceramics which houses art and pottery dating from the 1,500’s to the 1,700’s. Continue on a brief visit the Chua Ong Pagoda, a temple from the 17th century featuring China's influence in the region. Enter the Ancient Town as the streets take on a magic of their own with old lanterns, French-style houses, intricately carved wooden doors and more Take a walk through the Old Tam Ky House to see it's imperial styles meshed with French overtures.

Continue on to stroll along the river and see traditional boats and locals on bicycles passing by. You'll then approach the Japanese Covered Bridge which for centuries connected the Chinese and Japanese sides of town over the waterway. The old wooden structure has shown amazing resilience for more than 400 years.

Day 11: Golden Bridge & Ba Na Hill – Flight to Hanoi

Today, you will visit “Golden Bridge” – a new beautiful check-in location in Ba Na Hills. This design makes visitors feel like they’re taking a stroll on a shimmering thread stretching across the hands of gods. From here we can see amazing beauty of Danang City. Then you will visit and play games at Fantasy park - the largest indoor amusement park in Vietnam (your own account for games). Transfer to Danang airport for flight to Hanoi, upon arrive your local guide and driver will be waiting for you at the airport and ready to transfer you to hotel for check in.

Day 12: Hanoi City Tour – Discover the capital city of Vietnam

Hanoi, capital of Vietnam, oriental style old buildings, luxuriant trees along street, local market, motor-bikes, etc, A city tour in Hanoi will give you the first impression of oriental.

In the city tour, you will visit the Hochiminh Mausoleum and his former, the One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, Vietnam useum of Ethnology or Vietnam History Museum, Hoan Kiem Lake and a Cyclo tour to the old quarter of Hanoi.

The tour finishes with a Water Puppet Show performed by the world renowned Thang Long Opera House. This performance features a talent unique to Vietnam. You'll watch as water puppets perform the folklore legends of Vietnam while live ethnic music sets the mood.

Day 13: Hanoi/Cruise along Halong Bay

After breakfast, travel to Halong Bay, one of the Wonders of the Orient (3 hr. drive). Dinh Vu Port, Haiphong where we arrive at around 11h30. You can take special tea at Orchid Cruise’s lounge by warm welcome.

We welcome our guests onboard the cruise and then check in, enjoy Welcome Drink, receive cruise brief and safety instruction by crew member and Cruise Manager, anchored in the south of Halong Bay, one of the ‘New Seven Wonders of Nature’ in a worldwide survey. Halong Bay is steeped in culture from hundreds of years ago. The bay has remained unchanged for centuries, with beautiful seas and impressive islands.

Your Halong Bay Cruise boat proceeds to Da Chong islet, where you can see a lighthouse built by the French over 100 years ago. We have lunch before continuing our journey via the islets of Con Vit and Gia Luan. These amazing limestone karst formations rise up out of the sea in an impressive manner. This area is untouched, as not many cruise ships use the route via the Cat Ba Island – Thoi Quyt area – Coc Ngoi islet – through Cua Van to Ba Trai Dao area.

We progress to Ba Trai Dao beach area of Lan Ha Bay a separate part of Halong Bay. This is a quiet tourist paradise in Vietnam. The region is known for its pristine beaches and spectacular beauty, having about 400 fascinating islands. Unlike the main, Ha Long Bay, the islands of Lan Ha Bay are forested, and most are small in stature.

We take you for a trip in the small coracles, used by fishermen for centuries. You will learn how they go about their trade, casting the nets, whilst navigating the waters in their tiny craft.

Alternatively, you may prefer to try your hand at kayaking or simply just enjoy a swim. This is a great experience, immersed in the crystal clear waters of the bay, in the Ba Trai Dao area.

Returning your Halong Bay Cruise boat you can watch the magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin. Onboard you may join a traditional cooking class. Our chef will instruct you in the making of some Vietnam dishes. In the early evening the boat has its Happy Hour deal.

Day 14: Halong Bay/Return to Hanoi

Why not rise early to witness the bay at its very best whilst enjoying an invigorating Tai Chi session on the sundeck; after which we serve breakfast. Upon completing breakfast continue our journey and head out in canoes to explore the bay in the area where the Toi Sang cave is situated. Visitors then return to your Halong Bay Orchid Cruise boat for check-out procedures. We return to the quay side in the south of the bay, where our visitors disembark then you will transfer to Hanoi hotel.
