Day 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai.
20:00: The Vietnam Cycling team will pick you up from your Hanoi hotel and take you to the Hanoi railway station for the night train to Lao Cai. Spend the night on the train.
Day 2: Lao Cai – Bac Ha.
Arrive early this morning at Laocai. The Vietnam Cycling team will welcome you and take you to a nearby restaurant for breakfast. 8:00: We're heading out of Lao Cai to take a road transfer to the Sunday market in Bac Ha. This little town is the site of the Sunday Bac Ha market. Take pleasure in spending roughly two hours with the Hmong, Zao, Tay, and Phu La ethnic groups in the area.taking in the joyous festivities and exciting events as well as learning about the local spiritual culture. Lunch after hotel check-in. In the afternoon, cycle 12 km up and down the Ban Pho Valley to warm up for about two hours. Spend the night at Bac Ha.
Day 3: Bac Ha Biking.
Today, the majority of the trail passes through populated valleys with steep hillside cornfields and terraced rice paddies. There are also opportunities to encounter local tribal peoples including the Flower H'mong, Zao, and Tay. Following breakfast, we bike from the hotel to the heart of Lau Thi Ngai Commune, traveling around 3 km along the motorway. After using a suspension bridge to cross the stream, we will have a leisurely 4-kilometer ride on a single dirt track through a picturesque valley before facing a strenuous 5-kilometer ascent up a steep hill trail to reach Lung Phin village. After visiting this settlement, we will retrace our route along the motorway for 2.5 km before turning onto a single dirt track that will take us to the Can Cau market via a number of little Hmong hamlets. We plan to reach Can Cau at approximately 4:00 p.m. Once you have stopped biking, take a 45-minute car trip to Ta Cu Ty. Spend the night and dinner at a local residence.
Day 4: Bac Ha Nam Dan.
Following breakfast, we will ride a single track that winds around the Ta Cu Ty mountain range in a half circle. The route consists of a brief, rocky section as well as dirt tracks with a few stream crossings. The Nung, H'mong, and Zao ethnic groups' villages and hamlets will be passed by us as we ride our bikes. Lunch break in the recently developed town of Dan Khao. Following lunch, we cycle another nine kilometers on the same route across the high elevation of the Ta Cu Ty range to our home stay in Nam Chien Village. En route, we will make a brief stop at Nam Dan Village to see the fascinating rock fields where numerous large boulders bear the inscriptions of ancient people. Arrival at the homestay around at 3 p.m. In the village for dinner and the night.
Day 5: Nam Dan – Nam Trong.
We depart from our Nam Chien home stay at around 08.30 am after breakfast. We keep going on our bike journey, staying on the nice motor path. From the home-stay, we ride via the Gio Pass to the southern edge of the dense rain forest. After that, we make a left turn onto a lone dirt path and ride primarily downhill past tea plantations, terraced rice fields, and bamboo forests. We also pass by a few remote Zao and H'mong hamlets in Nam Nhung and Khau Rom Villages. We ride further, crossing the Nam Ly River to reach the southern side via a suspension bridge.We ride uphill on the one dirt route, passing through the Red Zao villages of Quang Thuong and Phieng Lang before arriving at Nam Choong Village. Around 5:00 p.m., arrive at the Nam Choong local tourist site, which is close to the hot mineral spring. In the village for dinner and the night.
Day 6: Nam Trong – Ho San.
We start the day with a bike ride from Nam Choong to Quang Nguyen Commune's center on a narrow single track. After that, we bike along the Nam Ly River and into Trung Son Village on a single dirt track that progressively climbs in elevation. arduous trail that climbs and descends sharply to reach the other side of the Nam Ly River upstream. There may be a 30-meter carrying distance for bikes. After that, we ride on a longer single track upward to Chien Thang Village and then progressively descend to the Ho Thau Commune center. The four-kilometer bike ride to Ho Xan Village, home to the Red Zao and Nung ethnic groups, will be uphill. About 430 p.m., we get to the Ho Xan Village homestay. In the village for dinner and the night.
Day 7: Ho San – Thong Nguyen.
From Ho Xan Village, via Sin Chai Village, cycle for 12 kilometers almost downhill on a single dirt track to Nam Son Bridge. Stop for a little nap by the river. After that, we ride our bikes up a long, steep hill to the Nam Khoa Heaven Gate. This area features breathtaking views of steep hillside terraced rice paddies surrounded by dense rain forest. Along the way, lunch will be served. We ride our bikes downwards to the Nam Khoa River Junction, which is located along a sizable single dirt track. Small communities of the Zao and Nung are bordered by plantations, tea estates, and terraced rice paddies that encircle the valley on two sides. After making a left turn, we proceed to Thong Nguyen Commune by following an extremely narrow single dirt track that winds up and down steep hillside terrain. To get to the Panhou eco lodge, where we will spend the night, take the narrow motorway.
Day 8: Thong Nguyen – Hanoi.
breakfast and depart from the Panhou by 8:00 a.m. Savor a day-long journey to Hanoi via car. Along the way, lunch will be served at a nearby restaurant. Reach Ha Noi around approximately 6:00 p.m. The 8-day Vietnam Mountain Bike Tour Bac Ha Ha Giang is over.
