This building is the most significant landmark( at 22 Ly Tu Trong street). Then, we reach the Independence Palace with The Reunification Front Gate – 2nd war site which is the former headquarters of the South Vietnamese Government and residence of the presidents. The moment the tank crashed through the front gate carrying the North Vietnamese flag marked a turning point in Vietnam’s history and changed the country’s path forever. Our next destination is The Venerable Thich Quang Duc Monument – 3rd war site honoring Thich Quang Duc – a Vietnamese Mahayana Buddhist monk who burned himself to death to anti the war. The park is located at the place Thich Quang Duc burned himself (70-72 Cach Mang Thang Tam street, District 3).  Come to the park, students can see a statue of Thich Quang Duc, which is sitting calmly in the lotus position and his face unflinching despite the fire is burning. This morning we take a drive to Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh, which is a significant religious site in Vietnam with the unique architecture and sacred religious spirit. Religion is a hybrid of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, and Christianity. Just a short drive, we will move to the village of The Napalm Girl, who are very famous in Nick Ut’s photo, is instantly recognizable and highlights the intense brutality of the Vietnam war. After having lunch, we will drive to the Cu Chi Tunnels, the network included innumerable trap doors, especially storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers, and kitchens. After having lunch, we will head to the Nui Dat Kindergarten which is built by Australian Veterans for children in the village. At present, it provides long daycare for 50 children between the ages of 3 and 5. Interestingly, whether we are helping with their lessons or enjoying a game of soccer. It is an absolutely unforgettable memory for students. Late afternoon, we make our way back to Saigon for overnight accommodation.
