Day 1: Siem Reap – Arrival (B)
Cambodia & South of Vietnam School Trip Detail ItineraryOn arrival in Siem Reap – the city of the famous Angkor Temple, teachers and students will be met and privately transferred to your hotel for check-in and fresh breakfast. We are free today. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 2: Siem Reap (L/D)
In and follow by having lunch at restaurant of Angkor. Travel to Angkor Complex, enjoy the guided tour of the world-famous Angkor Wat in the afternoon, an architectural and artistic masterpiece of the mighty Khmer Empire before witnessing dusk at Phnom Bakheng or Pre Rup casting the temple in an orange hue.This evening enjoys an authentic Khmer cuisine.
Day 3: Siem Reap – Angkor (B/L/D)
This morning group cycle to visit the jungle temple of Ta Prohm, and then we explore Angkor Thom. At the Angkor Thom complex, we see the ornate entrances adorned with gods and demons, and the terraces of Elephants and the Leper King, and also see the Bayon Temple with its enigmatic smiling faces in the center of this ancient capital. In the afternoon, we cycle to Angkor Wat and experience this incredible religious edifice.Tonight we will enjoy the Italian dish.
Day 4: Siem Reap (B/L/D)
In the morning after having breakfast will follow to the project of the member of Concert Cambodia for helping the local Cambodian family to restore their house roof, wall and wooden or bamboo floor by following to the professional carpenter to saw the wood/bamboo, nailing or replacing the thatch/palm leaves covered.It will be a packed lunch and having at the project site – a sandwich and fruits & potato crisp in the packet.This evening enjoys having a buffet lunch and watching the Apsara performance to depict the Khmer mythology.
Day 5: Siem Reap – Phnom Penh (B/L/D)
Travel to Phnom Penh via road number 6. On the way will visit the ancient bridge was built in the 12th century for connecting to Angkor capital and following by passing Kompong Thom is the center of Cambodia via visiting the carving village where engrave the gigantic sandstone to be the Buddha, animals, and others. While passing Skoun Village our journey will stop for a visit of where sale the deep-fried spiders, crickets, birds that local having as their appetizer. Tonight we will have dinner at the local restaurant.
Day 6: Phnom Penh (B/L/D)
This morning you will start for the educational tours to firstly visit Tuol Sleng Museum, Royal Palace , Silver Pagoda, and then Wat Phnom. Following this, visit National Museum with its many ancient Angkor artifacts as well as visit the Killing Field and Independence Monument, and go shopping at the Central Market and the famous Russian Market.
Day 7: Phnom Penh (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we will adjust the bike then departing cross the river by boat and take in this relaxing 25km ride through Cham Muslim communities on quiet back roads to reach the Mekong Islands. On the islands, cycle through orchards and market gardens. Enjoy the peaceful farmland and learn about the lives of the people who live here as well as will see the weaving family.
Day 8: Phnom Penh – Flight to Ho Chi Minh City (B/L)
Free at leisure in the morning. Then we transfer to the airport to take our flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam.Welcome upon arrival by local tour guide then we transfer to the hotel. Checking in and relax.This evening enjoys dinner at a fine local restaurant in town. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 9: Mekong Delta (B/L)
Departing Ho Chi Minh City this morning, travel through “Rice Basket “of Vietnam, Mekong Delta to Cai Be colorful floating market. Following this, visit local workshops including rice paste, coconut candy, pop-rice, pop-corn. Continue to travel to smaller canals and to see traditional houses made of wood, palm tree leaves, see some activities of the local farmers… Lunch will be served at a local house. After lunch, enjoy walking around and having some kinds of fruits when listening to traditional music and biking on village paths to see the local farms, houses, real-life and the ancestral ways to pick up fruits in Mekong Delta… The cruise will end at Vinh Long city. Then transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 10: Cu Chi Tunnel & City tour half-day (B/L)
This morning, travel to Cu Chi tunnels, known as “Iron Triangle” or “Iron Land”. Drive through the pleasant countryside; rubber plantations and rice paddies. Before entering the tunnels, see a short introductory video showing how they were constructed, followed by an exploration of the maze of tunnels and see various mantraps, the remains of an American tank, numerous bomb craters. After that, we transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City for lunch. After lunch, continue to visit the Reunification Palace, War Remnant Museum. Following this, visit Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Post Office. In the rest of the day, visit Ben Thanh market, and then we will be back at the hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 11: Ho Chi Minh city – Fly back home (B)
In the morning after having breakfast, transfer to the airport for departure flight back home. The school trip ends.
