We begin with a strategic van transfer uphill to the historic Khe Ve junction—the famous intersection where the Ho Chi Minh Trail met Road No. 12, marking the critical connection point of the Truong Son mountain range. Our ride starts with a fast stage to Pheo, followed by the majestic climb up Da Deo mountain pass. This is the ultimate high point of the ride, crossing over the magnificent Truong Son mountain range. The climb is rewarded with a wicked, exhilarating descent into Khe Gat (a former airbase), where we enjoy a well-earned picnic lunch. We continue cycling past historical sites like the Xuan Son bridge before arriving in Phong Nha, the jungle gateway to the world's largest caves.

Take a deep breath—today is your rewarding relaxation day and arguably the most beautiful route of the entire trip. We cycle exclusively on the Western Branch of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, a secluded ribbon of road winding between colossal karst peaks and lush primary jungle within the Phong Nha National Park.
Our first stop is Thien Duong Cave (Paradise Cave), where we dismount to explore the surreal, cathedral-like limestone formations inside. We then ride down to the historical Tra Ang intersection, a vital wartime connecting point to Laos. If time permits and the jungle heat demands it, your guide will take you to Suoi Nuoc Mooc, a cool, turquoise stream where you can enjoy a refreshing swim, kayaking, or a thrilling zip-line jump. Overnight once more in the tranquility of Phong Nha.
