Day 01: Hanoi - Thai Nguyen – Ba Be lake
After a filling breakfast at the hotel and a quick departure from the busy city, our shuttle bus travels two hours on a recently constructed route to reach Thai Nguyen. After reaching the cycling station, we ride on paved roads to the unexplored areas of ATK (safety zones), which is the name of the revolutionary base in Vietnam.While traveling to the extreme north of Vietnam, we will be cycling through serene villages and breathtaking scenery.You will get to see a village where paper is made. After lunch in Bac Can, we begin our bike journey from Bang Lung Town to Ba Bé, where we will take in the stunning countryside and tranquil rural life. When you get to Ba Be, check into your homestay and have some free time. Day 02: Ba Be Lake – Boat Trip and Cycle Bac Me
Rise early to witness the everyday routine of the Tay people, who have owned Ba Be Lake and resided in this region for a century. You might go around the lake and take in the breathtaking scenery.After having breakfast with our hosts, we bid them farewell and hop on a boat with our bikes to explore the quiet village and lake in the morning.One of the world's 28 largest freshwater lakes, Ba Be Lake is located on a limestone mountain's slope. 600 m in length and 8 km in width. Day 03: Bac Me – Bao Lam – Bao Lac
We'll be getting back on the bikes today and riding for the entire day along the gorgeous Gam River region. After breakfast, depart your accommodation and begin cycling. Throughout the morning, drive on the outdated tarmac portion of national route 34A, which is 23 km east of the Gam River. After a somewhat easy ascent, we make the last 30 kilometers of our journey on level ground. Along the route, we will see members of the minority communities in the area, all decked out in colorful tribal garb. Take a detour to explore the local market or the way of life of the hill tribesmen. Eat lunch on the way. Day 04: Bao Lac –Khau Coc Tra – Na Tenh – Thong Nong – Cao Bang
Our trip's cycling day will undoubtedly be difficult and exhausting, but we will be rewarded with amazing scenery and breath-taking views along the way.After eating a Vietnamese-style breakfast at a neighborhood eatery, we load up our bikes from the hotel and ride through a difficult 15-kilometer mountainous pass that winds through a steep slope and some rough terrain. We are coming to the end of our bicycle tour in Vietnam's far north today. We will recharge our energies and begin our new cycling day from the motel.Ride a bicycle along a quiet, hamlet road to take in the breathtaking countryside and riverside vistas. Stop by the regular morning markets to talk to the locals. climbing a mild pass for 10 km before descending a mountainside to the main road.When we cross the finish line, our amazing five-day bicycle tour through remote North Vietnam comes to an end.
