Day 1: Hanoi – Nghia Lo. ~200 km, ~7 h.
Today is the first day of this Challenging Roof Roads & Northeast 8 days motorbike tour. Before starting to ride, we will have a short briefing to let you know about the rules. In addition, the guide will show you how to understand him by his body language. We start around 9.30am after the rush hours.In fact, today is an easy ride on sealed road. You ride through rural areas with beautiful rice fields along the way.
Day 2: Nghia Lo – Mu Cang Chai – Than Uyen. ~150 km, ~6-7 h.
In general, the road is wild and bumpy. We go through the massif of Mu Cang Chai, almost as high as the Fansipan. From the top, we have one of the most beautiful views of Northern Vietnam.Golden Trail Travel Motorbike Adventures - Challenging Roof Roads & Northeast 8 days via Sapa.
Day 3: Than Uyen – Sapa. ~100 km, ~4 h.
Walk/stroll in the morning. Ride direction Sapa. Arrive in Sapa in the afternoon. In general, today’s ride is on wild and bumpy roads.
Day 4: Sapa – Muong Hum. ~40 km, ~3 h.
We ride up the Chinese border until the village of Muong Hum. Track and secondary road for 30 kilometres. In return, you experience amazing scenery.Overnight in Muong Hum, a village of Giay people.
Day 5: Muong Hum – Bac Ha. ~130 km, 5 h.
The ride from Muong Hum to Bac Ha takes ~4 hours, down to Lao Cai and then up to Bac Ha, taking us from Hoang Lien Son mountain range to the Chay River Massif.
Day 6: Bac Ha – Vu Linh. ~180 km, ~6 h.
We ride down to Thac Ba lake. Golden Trail Travel itinerary goes all along the river until Luc Yen. Beautiful landscape. Then, 2 options:Option 1We go first to the embarcadere. In general, it’s a nice ride between palm trees. Then, we cross all the lake by boat (3 hours). Finally, we arrive at the traditional village of Dzao people where we stay overnight.Option 2We go round the lake following small tracks. We arrive at Vu Linh, a traditional village of Dzao people where we sleep in the family of our friends. Honestly, the welcome is exceptional.Golden Trail Travel Motorbike Adventures - Challenging Roof Roads & Northeast 8 days via Vu Linh and Na Khan.
Day 7: Vu Linh – Na Khan. ~200 km, ~8 h.
You ride from Vu Linh to Na Khan through Thai Nguyen (over 200 km). In general, the road is sealed all the way until Bac Kan. However, the last part from Bac Kan to Na Khan is wild and little bumpy. Na Khan is a Tay village, lost in the middle of the primitive forest. Mr. Lo, chief of the village will welcome us in his house.
Day 8: Na Khan – Hanoi. ~180 km, ~7 h
. End of Challenging Roof Roads & Northeast 8 Days.Quite a long ride but easy (early departure is better) from Na Khan to Hanoi.We try to arrive in Hanoi before 5pm to avoid rush hours. Otherwise, you should be good with city traffic from the experience you got over the last days
