Day 2: Hanoi City Tour – Discover the capital city of Vietnam

Hanoi, capital of Vietnam, oriental style old buildings, luxuriant trees along street, local market, motor-bikes, etc, A city tour in Hanoi will give you the first impression of oriental.

In the city tour, you will visit the Hochiminh Mausoleum and his former, the One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, Vietnam useum of Ethnology or Vietnam History Museum, Hoan Kiem Lake and a Cyclo tour to the old quarter of Hanoi.

Finish your day off at the Thang Long Opera Theatre for a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show.

Day 3: Hanoi-Sapa | Private Car| Cat Cat Village

07:00 Depart Hanoi by your private car to Sapa.

Around mid-day arrive in Sapa and check into the hotel. At an elevation of 1,500 meters, Sapa was once a hill resort of French administrators when the summer heat became unbearable. The remoteness and the simple lifestyle of ethnic minority people are a highlight of Sa Pa although conditions are basic.
In the afternoon, you will take a walk down to the South-west of Sapa (around 3 km) to visit Cat Cat Village of the Black H’mong, one of the more well-known ethnic village of Sapa. Relax at the foot of the stunning waterfall and the vestige of a hydroelectric power station that was constructed by the French during the colonial time in Vietnam. Transfer back to hotel, rest is at your own leisure.

Day 4: Bac Ha – Sunday Market

After breakfast, Leaving Sapa we drive to Bac Ha market (approximately 3 hours). Arriving at Bac Ha, we visit the big market and the colorful ethnic people of the Flower H'mong, Phu La and Dao Tuyen minorities, who gather here to buy and sell their handicraft products. After spending the morning exploring the market our lunch will be served at a local restaurant. After lunch we drive downhill to start a short walk to Trung Do Village which is home to the Tay minority. Here we can visit a traditional Tay house. We will then travel by boat through amazing countryside to Bao Nhai Village.

Day 5: Sapa-Hanoi| Cable car to Fansipan Mountain

This morning, reach the summit of Vietnam's highest peak, Mount Fansipan by a 15 Minutes world’s longest and highest Cable Car. Known as the ‘Roof of Indochina,’ the 3,143 metre high Mount Fansipan where we start climbing over 600 steps to the peak. Enjoy stunning views of the Hoang Lie Son mountain with breaking views.

Then transfer back to Hanoi

Day 6: Hanoi - Halong Bay , Full day Halong Bay cruise

Start at 8:00 am with private transfer to Halong City. Upon arrival, you will board the cruise ship for a relaxing Halong Bay Cruise through the stunning Halong Bay. Savor a delectable lunch as V’Spirit Classic cruises among the limestone islands. Explore the amazing Sung Sot Cave– the most beautiful cave in Halong Bay. Cruising to Titov Island. Go swimming and relaxing at the beach of Titov or climb up to the top of the island for a panorama view of Halong Bay. When the sun become a drop of burning gold that slid nearer the sea horizon, enjoy your dinner while enjoying a charming sun set.

Day 7: Half day Halong Bay Cruise, Flight to Hue

Greeting by the morning sun rise from the sea horizon, you can join a Thai Chi lesson for some morning exercise before breakfast. Kayak among the hidden areas of the bay, around the Drum Cave and disembark around 11:00 am then transfer to airport for onward flight to Hue.

Day 8: Full Day Hue City Tour – Transfer to Hoi An by Private Car

Enjoy a full day city tour to visit Hue Citadel - Vietnam’s former imperial capital and recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. With an area of 500ha and a system of three circles of ramparts, namely from outside to inside: Kinh Thanh Hue (Hue Capital Citadel), Hoang Thanh (Royal Citadel) and Tu Cam Thanh (Forbidden Citadel) and Khai Dinh Tomb, Hue Citadel is the result of the interminglement of many architectural trends: European and Asian, as well as ancient and modern.

Afternoon, take a cruise along the Perfume River, visiting Minh Mang Tomb (one of Nguyen Emperors).Back to the Perfume River to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda - an active Buddhist monastery with its origins dating back to 1601.Stop at Dong Ba market for shopping.  after the tour you will transfer to Hoi An.

Day 9: Century Cham Ruins and Hoi An Ancient Port Town

In the morning, travel to the My Son Holy Land. Tucked in the mountains up winding roads with serene views, the 4th century My Son Holy Land ruins. The surrounding mountains are strictly forbidden for living or development. The ruins lie in a beautiful mountainous landscape. Enter the temples to hear all about the history and stories of the Cham people and this holy site.  

In the afternoon, continue on to the Ancient Capital of Hoi An, which features the 16th century port town in its preserved state. Visit the Museum of Trade Ceramics which houses art and pottery dating from the 1,500’s to the 1,700’s. Continue on a brief visit the Chua Ong Pagoda, a temple from the 17th century featuring China's influence in the region. Enter the Ancient Town as the streets take on a magic of their own with old lanterns, French-style houses, intricately carved wooden doors and more Take a walk through the Old Tam Ky House to see it's imperial styles meshed with French overtures. Continue on to stroll along the river and see traditional boats and locals on bicycles passing by. You'll then approach the Japanese Covered Bridge which for centuries connected the Chinese and Japanese sides of town over the waterway. The old wooden structure has shown amazing resilience for more than 400 years.

At dusk, enjoy walking along the riverside as colorful lanterns light up the town. Then return to your hotel for an evening of relaxation.

Day 10: Flight to Saigon | Best of Saigon

Today, transfer to airport for flight to Saigon, upon arrive, you will start to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels. Discover these amazing systems developed by the guerrillas fighting in the Vietnam War. You'll have an opportunity to see the various weapons used in the war on display. Then learn about the innovative ways the guerrillas survived and fought back in the war. The impressive underground system they built remains to tell the story of the Vietnam War.

In the afternoon, see the highlights of Saigon and learn the history of these iconic landmarks.

You’ll explore some of the most important sights in Ho Chi Minh. Start by visiting the Notre Dame Cathedral. Constructed by French colonists during their settlement, discover its significance as the largest cathedral in Southeast Asia. Across the road is the Old Saigon Post Office, a neoclassical architectural building considered one of the main attractions in the city. Visit the Reunification Palace, home of South Vietnam’s President during the war. Then stop is Cholon, the Chinatown in Ho Chi Minh. Explore the thickly settled district rife with tea-houses and pagodas, and the famous Binh Tay Market.  Finish the afternoon with a visit to the Emperor Jade Pagoda. Also known as the Tortoise pagoda, this figurine-filled place of worship is considered by many to be Saigon's finest.

Day 11: Mekong Delta Discovery – Flight to Phnom Penh

Discover the Mekong River, essential to Vietnamese life.

This morning, transfer to remote Bentre. This burgeoning capital rests in the Mekong Delta and is surrounded by beautiful countryside known as the "rice basket of Vietnam". First visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, decorated with mosaics made from broken pottery. Overlooked by a tall white Buddha, it is set amongst lovely gardens overflowing with flowers, shrubs, lotus pools and tombs and ornate gates which provide entry. Continue on a boat ride along the river to view the stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages.

After lunch, visit An Khanh, a small village that specializes in fruit orchards and coconut sweets. If time permits, you can take a short cycling trip through the island or explore the island on foot (the island is flat and relatively small).  after the tour you will transfer to airport for flight to Phnom Penh.

Day 12: Full Day Phnom Penh City Tour

Discover the highlights of Phnom Penh and the iconic landmarks.

 

After breakfast, your guide will greet you at the lobby and then escort you to the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek. The Killing Fields were a place of execution and burial of people considered a threat or enemy of the Khmer Rouge regime(1975-1979). You'll walk near the fields which have been excavated, and see the monument which now houses the skulls of the victims. You'll also see an old tree which is notable for it's eerie and death-like appearance.

You'll also watch a video where you'll learn about the tragedies that happened at this site. Next, you'll continue to Toul Sleng Genocide Museum. Prior to 1975 Toul Sleng was a high school. When Khmer Rouge came to power in 1975 they converted it into the S-21 prison.

In the afternoon, you'll continue to the National Museum where you will see the largest collection in the world of Khmer history, arts and architecture on display. You will also visit the Silver Pagoda, which has 5,000 silver tiles on the floor and then you'll visit the Royal Palace where the Khmer royal family lives. Finally you'll visit Wat Phnom. When the tour is finished, you'll be escorted to your hotel for the evening.

Day 13: Phnom Penh Kompot - Sihanoukville by Private car

This morning at 08:00am Your driver will meet you at the hotel for the 3 hours journey from Phnom Penh to Kep, famous for delicious crab and other fresh seafood sold along the beachfront restaurants at the Crab Market.

Continue to the sleepy riverside town of Kampot famous for the pepper grown here, colonial architecture and the lively local markets.

A short drive down the coast takes you to Sihanouk Ville, named after King Norodom Sihanouk, lies along a beautiful peninsula overlooking the Gulf of Thailand with white sandy beaches and tropical islands off its south and west coast. After Check in the hotel is free to enjoy the beach and relax.

Day 17: Temple Touring Full Day

Breakfast is at hotel. We depart hotel at 8.00am for full day guided Angkor exploration, start with the south gate of Angkor Thom atop 4 giant faces, stroll to explore Bayon temple consisting of more than 200 smiling faces in stone, admired by interesting temples including Baphuon, Phimeanakas, terrace of leper king, terrace of elephant & Ta Prohm temple adorned with the stunning tree roots where Lara Croft Tomb Raider was filmed.

After lunch, continue to witness the marvelous Angkor Wat – the world’s heritage listed by UNESCO in 1992 and the largest monument in the world. Unlock the amazing history, its ancestral incredible, architectural masterpieces and the finest carvings dates back to the Khmer Empire when it dominated the largest parts of Southeast Asia. On your way back to Siem Reap, enjoy the sunset from the top of the pyramid-shaped temple of Pre Rup.

Day 18: Tonle Sap Lake, Kompong Phluk, Ox cart ride – Experience Local Street Food by Vespa Scooter

In the morning, a half day excursion to the biggest Southeast Asia’s largest fresh water lake—Tonle Sap Lake. You’ll take a fun ox cart ride through the countryside,. Continue on a boat trip to enjoy the beautiful lake views and mangrove forests. Spend rest of the morning at Kompong Phluk, the largest village on the lake, to discover the fascinating daily lifestyle of the local people who live on the water. 

This evening you’ll be picked up at your hotel for an evening private food tour by vespa through the heart of Siem Reap. Day 21: Damnoen Saduak Floating Market /Kanchanabury and WWII – Flight to Chiang Rai

This morning visit Damnoen Saduak Floating Market where you will experience the traditional Thai market with numerous vendors selling local foods, fruits and products from their boats. Explore the market before continuing on to Kanchanburi to learn about the region's storied past and present-day culture. Made famous by the book and movie The Bridge on the River Kwai, the infamous bridge and railway is a notable part of the Kanchanaburi landscape. Visit the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre to get an understanding of the deadly, Herculean task many Thais were faced with decades ago.

Day 22: Doi Mae Salong - Discover Golden Striangle

The golden triangle is a mysterious region for most of Indochina tour makes, today you will enjoy a full day excursion to the heart of golden triangle region.

Your fascinating day will start from morning by firstly visit the Long Neck Karen village to see the long neck hill tribe people who relocated from the Thai and Myanmar border. If it is possible, you will also able to visit a Cock Fighting near the hill tribe village. Keep driving to Mt. Doi Mae Salong and visit the Chinese village on the top of the mountain. Lunch will be at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, continue the trip to the highest peak on the Thai-Myanmar border. Doi Tung, provides an opportunity to view enrooted many different Lahu and Akha village as well as terraced farming areas and see from distance the Princess Mother's frigid flower Garden.  Doi Tung temple, built in A.D.1493, is located at the peak. Its scenery reminds one of Switzerland, features many unique images and temple architecture over looking the entire northern rice field plain.  Return to the hotel and rest of the day free at leisure.

Day 23: Chiang Rai | Chiang Mai

After breakfast, visit the White Temple, is an unusual Thai temple designed by artist Chalermchai Kositpipat, who mixes traditional Buddhist temple architecture with pop culture references. Keep driving around 30 minutes to Chiang Mai, visit the Meow Hill Tribe Village where locates on the Mountain Doi Pui and it was once famous for opium cultivation. Continue to visit the Temple Wat Doi Suthep where you will enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the Chiang Mai City. If you like, here is also one of the best places to enjoy sunset.
