Today is a full day to let you explore Putao and its surrounding. Spend time strolling around the Putao market then get on a jeep to the next stopover in Kangmulon Pagoda – the most famous heritage site in the region. Afterward, embark on a local fisherman bot to sail along the beautiful Malikha River to reach Machanbaw – the fascinating city features the beauty of colonial architecture. There you will wander around the town to gaze out at the simple lifestyle of local people.
Next, walk across the suspension bridge and get on a coach to hit the road to Mulashidi village where you will see the spectacular snow-capped mountains. In the evening, enjoy a warm lunch at Putao Lodge.
Breakfast and we walk to Lonsut village, through vast paddy fields, cross over Namhtun creek and walk up to the small plateau for a nice overview of Putao Valley. Continue walking through the beautiful bamboo grove to Hopaing Shan village. Here we visit the Buddhist Monastery where we have the opportunity of meeting friendly Hkamit Shan people. Our return walk would be along Namhtun creek with an optional visit to some of the Lisu villages on the way.
In the afternoon we visit Phtaung village through paddy fields and gardens having small Buddhist Shine with a backdrop of snowcapped mountains far in the horizon. Moving back to the hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner rounds off in the evening.
This morning enjoy your last breakfast at your hotel in Putao and then transfer to the airport and take a domestic flight to Yangon. Upon arrival at Yangon, head to the famous Chauk Htat Kyi Pagoda which possesses a 66-meter-long reclining Buddha image.
Next, move on to the Karaweik Hall to get a glimpse of the huge golden barge mirroring Kandawgyi Lake. There is no more fulfilling than a final visit to Shwedagon Pagoda at sunset time to witness the most outstanding relic in the city dating back to more than 2600 years ago which is said is home to the Buddha’s relics.
