Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi (D)
Upon your arrival at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide and transferred to your hotel. Take some time to relax and get settled.
Day 2: Hanoi City Tour (B, L, D)
After breakfast at the hotel, we visit Ho Chi Minh Complex to see Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh’s house on the stilt, the Presidential Palace, and the One Pillar Pagoda. Following we visit the Temple of Literature which was originally built as a temple to Confucius. This is the site of Vietnam’s first university dating back to 1070. The Temple now is a destination for Vietnamese students for their educational good luck praise. After lunch, we keep on visiting the Museum of Ethnology, which is widely acknowledged as the best in the country and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 Ethnic minority peoples. Then we are back to the center city to take a one-hour cyclo around the Old Quarter, known as the 36 streets. This bustling area of narrow streets is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. The last activity today is to enjoy the unique Water Puppet Show.
Day 3: Hanoi to Ninh Binh – Trang An and Hoa Lu (B, L, D)
Leave Hanoi and travel to Ninh Binh, known for its stunning natural landscapes. Your first stop will be the mesmerizing Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Prepare to be enchanted as you embark on a boat ride through this breathtaking landscape. Marvel at the towering limestone karsts that surround you, as you navigate through a network of rivers, caves, and tranquil waterways. Immerse yourself in the serenity and beauty of this natural wonder, as you soak in the awe-inspiring views and connect with the harmony of nature. Day 4: Bear Sanctuary Full-Day Exploration (B, L, D)
After breakfast, transfer directly to Bear Sanctuary in Ninh Binh, the only sanctuary in Southeast Asia. On arrival, you will have a chance to see the lovely and naughty black bears which are saved, raised up, and taken care of. After a vegetarian lunch, you can join the staff here to prepare foods for the bears, have a closer look at the daily life of the bears living in the semi-wild environment. Each bear has its own name and you will be told stories about their pained and depressed life before being rescued. Watching their happiness when larking together will absolutely leave you funny moments and the respects to efforts of bear’s rescuers. In the late afternoon, return to the Ninh Binh city center for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Hanoi – Halong Bay Cruise (B, L, D)
Depart from Hanoi and head to the mesmerizing Halong Bay – The Bay of Descending Dragon which has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage thanks to its universal values of landscape, geology, and geomorphology. Capture a giant picture wearing cosmetics created from 2000 limestone islands with many shapes affixed to a lot of Vietnamese legend stories. After a short break at Glory Legend Private Lounge, transfer to a boat and enjoy a buffet lunch with Vietnamese dishes served while passing Incense Burner, Dog Stone Islet, Fighting Cock, Soi Sim Beach, Coconut Three Island. In the mid-afternoon, visit Luon cave, the combination of limestone mountains and jade-green sea by bamboo boat with local people or kayaking based on your preference. Sightseeing this morning introduces you to Sung Sot Cave, one of the finest and widest grottoes of Ha Long Bay.
