Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau (-/L/D)
8:00 AM: You will be picked up by our local team from your Hanoi hotel and driven to Hoa Binh. After around two hours of driving, make your first stop to unload the bikes and start your four-day Vietnam Bike Tour. The first ride has few climbs and descents and is primarily on paved roads.You reach a mountain pass after riding for roughly 30 km, when your support car will pick you up once more and take you for a quick transfer to a nearby restaurant for lunch. You'll be driven to Tan Lac for the second bike trip after lunch. You travel down the Black River for almost thirty kilometers, seeing Muong rural villages and rice farms along the way. There is an amazing view of the Da Reservoir from this backroad ride.You arrive in a Thai village late in the afternoon and spend the night in a local stilt house for dinner (homestay).
Day 2: Mai Chau – Pu Luong (B/L/D)
We ride our bikes to Pu Luong Nature Reserve after breakfast. Situated between two parallel mountain ridges that run from northwest to southeast, it is divided by a central valley that is home to numerous populated areas and a considerable acreage of agricultural land. Pu Luong has an abundance of diverse species.Mostly on sealed roads, we travel past Thai and Muong communities in the area. Take a break for coffee on the route, stop to see nearby homes, or take pictures of the stunning mountainous scenery. Continue riding Road 15C until we come to a Thai village, where we will have lunch. The first part of the afternoon ride is on level ground, and after about 10 km, we ride uphill to a Muong village. Spend the night and dine at a stilt house in the neighborhood.
Day 3: Pu Luong – Cuc Phuong National Park (B/L/D).
Following breakfast, we head out of the village over a single track that twists and turns and passes through a few steep hills. We go over rice fields, vegetable gardens, and bamboo forests before arriving at the small village of Ba Thuoc, where we have lunch. Continue riding the Ho Chi Minh path for around 10 kilometers after lunch on little back roads. returned to Cuc Phuong National Park after being picked up by our van once more. The ride in the afternoon is easier, with short climbs. Spend the night at the park's guesthouse.
Day 4: Cuc Phuong National Park – Tam Coc – Hanoi (B/L/-)
We'll take a quick bike ride to explore the park after breakfast. After that, it will be a roughly 30-kilometer ride on a back road to Tam Coc. We'll go past rural communities, picturesque valleys, and pineapple farms. Enjoy a two-hour boat ride on the Ngo Dong River to discover Tam Coc, also known as "Halong bay on land," which translates to "three caves." The boat ride follows a small river that meanders through three caverns. Eat lunch at a nearby eatery. After that, return to Hanoi. The Red River Delta Bicycle Tour of Vietnam is over.
