8:00 AM pick up at the hotel. Travel to Battambang, the biggest province produce rice in Cambodia. On the way, we stop to visit Kampong Chhnang and Pursat. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Afternoon, ride to take the bamboo train and visit the hilltop Phnom Sampov. The panromic view is wonderful with the sunset and limestones caves and the countryside surrounded the hill. Make Phnom Sampov the bestplace for sunset view. Overnight in Battamban
Day 2: Battambang - Banteay Chhmar ( B , L , D )
Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to Banteay Chhmar, the remote temple built by the Cambodian famous King Jayavarman VII. We stop shortly to get gasoline and restroom in Sisophon. Then visit Ang Trapaeng Thmor bird watching sanctuary to spot for Sarus Crane. Afternoon, continue the ride to Anlung Veang, the former Khmer Rouge strong hold before they integrated all their forces into the government forces to end the long 2 decades of civil war. Overnight in Anlung Veang.
Day 3: Anlung Veang - Siem Reap ( B , L )
Today we ride uphill to visit some of former Khmer Rouge sites including Pol Pot's grave.He was thetop leader who responsible for the genocide regime in Cambodia. He was believed to die in 1998 because of heart attack. Continue to visit Ta Mok's house and his office at the foot of Dang Rek hill.Ta Mok was the former Khmer Rouge commander. He was arrested by the government and later on died in prison. Today, there are 5 top Khmer Rouge leaders wating for international tribunal in Phnom Penh for their crime againt humanity. Then we ride to Siem Reap via Sre Noy. We stop to visit the Landmines Museum of Mr. Akira. Mr. Ra is dedicated to clearing the Cambodian countryside of landmines laid during the years of conflict and relies entirely on visitors' donation to fund his work.
