Overview

Ignite your spirit of adventure with our "Phnom Penh Loop Motorcycle to Siem Reap 5 Days" tour, an meticulously designed expedition that promises an unparalleled blend of exhilarating riding, profound cultural immersion, and historical discovery. This isn't just a journey from one city to another; it's a comprehensive loop through the heart of Cambodia, specifically crafted for motorcycle enthusiasts eager to explore beyond the well-trodden paths. Over five action-packed days, you'll experience the diverse landscapes, rich history, and vibrant local life of this fascinating Southeast Asian nation, all from the unique vantage point of a motorcycle.

Your Cambodia motorcycle tour begins and ends in Phnom Penh, the bustling capital, but quickly veers off into the captivating countryside. The "loop" aspect of this tour is key, taking you through a variety of provinces each offering its own distinct charm and challenges. You'll navigate a mix of road conditions, from paved highways that allow for smooth cruising, to the more exciting and demanding off-road Cambodia trails – think red dirt roads, winding rural paths, and perhaps even some light sand or gravel sections, depending on the season. This variety ensures an engaging ride for all skill levels, from confident beginners to experienced dirt bike adventure seekers.

As you journey, you'll witness the true essence of authentic Cambodia. The route is carefully planned to include stops in remote villages where you can observe traditional daily life, interact with friendly locals, and gain insights into their customs and craftsmanship. These aren't just photo opportunities; they're genuine cultural exchanges. You might pass through areas known for their traditional pottery in Kampong Chhnang, or explore the quiet, provincial charm of Pursat and Battambang, a city renowned for its colonial architecture and vibrant arts scene. Riding past lush rice paddies, serene lakes, and verdant forests, you'll truly feel connected to the Cambodian countryside.

The ultimate destination, and a major highlight of this historical trails tour, is Siem Reap, the gateway to the magnificent Angkor complex. Imagine arriving at this UNESCO World Heritage site after days of adventurous riding, ready to explore the awe-inspiring Angkor Wat by motorcycle (parking outside the main temple areas, of course) or on foot. You'll have dedicated time to marvel at the architectural grandeur of Angkor Wat, wander through the enigmatic face-laden temples of Bayon within Angkor Thom, and experience the surreal beauty of Ta Prohm, where colossal tree roots embrace ancient stones. This tour allows for a unique contrast: the adrenaline of the ride blending seamlessly with the serene majesty of these ancient wonders. By the end of your Phnom Penh loop motorcycle journey, you'll not only have accumulated incredible riding memories but also a deep appreciation for Cambodia's enduring spirit, its beautiful landscapes, and its profound historical legacy. This is more than a tour; it's an unforgettable adventure travel experience into the very soul of Cambodia

Day 1: Phnom Penh – MOTORBIKE PACKAGE TO TONLE SAP RIVER ( L,D)
You will be picked up from your hotel around 8am and driven to the Hog House in Takmao, approximately 12kms from the centre of Phnom Penh. We leave Takmao and ride our motorcycles back through Phnom Penh following the Tonle Sap River. 30 kms out of Phnom Penh, we cross the Tonle Sap River by ferry. We will make our way to the town of Kompong Thom where we will stop for lunch. After that, we keep riding to the town of Siem Riep. That night we’ll have a dinner at a Khmer restaurant for dinner and a few drinks. After dinner an optional few more drinks at a few of the bars around town, then overnight here.
Day 2: MOTORBIKE PACKAGE AROUND TEMPLES OF ANGKOR (B )
We will take a motorbike from our hotel to the Temples of Angkor at first light. Unfortunately only specially licensed bikes and cars are permitted inside the temple complex, we definitely do not qualify although we may be able to sneak in a back way after 5 pm if you desire. We will therefore decide whether to ride a motorbike taxi or car. Either way these costs are borne by HTC. That evening, after a swim at the pool we will enjoy a meal at the hotel. If you still have enough energy, your rest of the night is to enjoy the nightlife of Siem Riep.
Day 3: DAY WITH SEVERAL OPTIONS OF MOTORBIKE TOUR (B)
Day 3 is a day of two choices. You can ride a motorcycle back to the Temples or take a ride around Siem Riep to see the other sights of this, Cambodia’s most modern city. Perhaps there is even a third choice! A lazy day by the pool and maybe even a massage by the hotel’s in house massage service. The choice is yours.
Day 4: SIEM RIEP MOTORBIKE TOUR TO KOMPONG CHAM (B,L,D)
We say goodbye to Siem Riep for the much more leisurely pace of Kompong Cham. Kompong Cham is a sleepy town on the banks of the Mekong River. We will leave Siem Riep after breakfast around 11am. We will have a lunch in Kompong Thom, and then keep riding to Kompong Cham. After we’ve check into our hotel and had a break, we’ll head for dinner and drinks at a Khmer restaurant across the Mekong River. A few beers at Joe’s Mekong Crossing or Simon’s Mekong Daze bars, and stay overnight here.
Day 5: MOTORBIKE PACKAGE BACK TO PHNOM PENH (B, L )
We meet for breakfast at Joe’s Mekong Crossing around 8 or 9am and after that at 10am checkout we head off again. We cross the Mekong and keep riding back to Phnom Penh. We take a ride through rubber plantations and rice fields to the town of Prey Veng where we stop for lunch. Afterwards, we make our journey to Neak Leoung. At Neak Leoung we cross the Mekong by Ferry and return Phnom Penh.
