North Vietnam 6 Days Itinerary includes such holidays activities as trekking, cycling, sampan cruise tour, boat junk cruises and sea kayaking. The tour begins in Hanoi and takes you through Mai Chau village, Pu Luong Nature Reserve, Tam Coc – “Halong bay inland” and Halong bay, the New Seven World Wonder. You have different choices in terms of accommodation including local homes, guesthouse and on board junk. The multi-sport holiday package is available all year round but the best time to travel this itinerary is April, May and October.

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau – Pu Luong Nature Reserve.
After breakfast, depart for Pu Luong Nature Reserve. This scenic drive takes around four hours. Along the way we pass fields of tapioca and sugar cane as well as rice paddies. Following lunch in Poom Coong village we drive further into the reserve where we begin our trek. We trek for approximately three hours before arriving at the Thai village of Hang. We spend the night with a local Thai family who will be our host in a traditional house on stilts. Whilst enjoying their hospitality we will discover a little more about their lives and culture.

Today we will trek for about six hours. Along the way we pass through several Thai villages and hamlets before arriving at the village of Kho Muong. As the name suggests this is a Muong minority village and we will be their guests for the night.

Day 3: Pu Luong – Tam Coc, Ninh Binh.
This morning we set out from Kho Muong and trek for roughly three hours and a half before arriving in Pho Doan township where your lunch will be provided in a local house. After breakfast, we will take a motorbike-taxi to La Han ferry where our car will be waiting for us for our journey to Tam Coc (“Halong bay in-land”). Dinner & overnight in Tam Coc.

Alternatively journey to Dau Go Cave and nearby see the famous stalagmites and stalactites of Thien Cung Cave. Enjoy a swim in the emerald waters of Halong Bay or take a kayak and start paddling around. Watch the sun set over the bay whilst enjoying a delicious dinner. Overnight on board junk.
