Day 1: Yangon Arrival (D)

Mingalaba! Welcome upon arrival by local tour guide then we transfer to the hotel. Checking in, relax for the rest of the day, and enjoy a welcome dinner at a fine local restaurant in town. Overnight in Yangon.

Yangon city is a must-see city for tourists who want to see a different Asia. It’s the largest city in Myanmar with a combination of nature and cultures and communities. This city was founded in 1755 by King Alaungpaya and Yangon means “End of Strife”. Start the first day of the Myanmar itinerary 8 days with a visit to Lawka Chanthar Arbayar Laba Muni Buddha Image (Kyauktawgyi). After that, we visit Chauk Htat Gyi (Reclining Buddha) Pagoda a colossal reclining Buddha, Karaweik Hall Royal barge on the Royal lake for the photo stop, Yangon’s city center featuring Sule Pagoda at the city center and colonial building. Before enjoying the sunset at Yangon’s city center covering the world’s famous Shwedagon Pagoda, we drive downtown to visit China Town with the fruit market.

Day 3: Yangon – Fly to Mandalay (B)

Take away breakfast which is prepared by the hotel, we take our early morning flight to Mandalay where we spend a full day exploring the city’s highlights. Make your first visit of the day at Mahamuni Pagoda, home to the most highly revered Buddha image in the country. Then, proceed to Kyauktawgyi Pagoda which houses a large Buddha image carved out of a single block of marble. Our next stop will be Shwenandaw Monastery. The monastery is also known as the Golden Palace which used to be a part of the Royal Palace and a textbook example of exquisite wood carving. Today’s sightseeing also includes a visit to Mandalay Palace, the residence of the last Burmese king. Inside the palace is a boutique of chambers for you to discover. End of the day, we enjoy the sunset on Mandalay Hill and relax. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 3: Yangon – Fly to Mandalay (B)

Day 4: Mandalay – Mingun – Sagaing (B, L)

Hope you have a good sleep last night. The fourth day of our Myanmar itinerary 8 days begins with a private boat trip along the Ayeyarwady River to Mingun, a small town on the west bank of Mandalay. Stop at Settawya Pagoda and enjoy the tranquil aura around the whitewashed pagoda which was built to house a marble footprint of the Buddha. Take a leisure walk to Mingun Pahtotawgyi, a massive unfinished pagoda built to be the largest pagoda in the world. In the afternoon, we drive to Sagaing Hill which is known as the living center of the Buddhist faith in Myanmar nowadays. From here, we can see the hillsides are dotted with many Pagodas and Monasteries. Continuing to visit Khaungmudaw Pagoda before seeing the sunset on the top of Sagaing Hill.

Day 6: Bagan – Full Day Visit (B)

Bagan is a city that visitors can visit all year around. With more than 2,000 Pagodas & Temples dating back more than 1500 years of history, Bagan is one of the most fascinating places for visitors when traveling to this country. This is also an ideal place for beautiful local Art, such as Lacquerware, bamboo works & wonderful locally made cloth. After breakfast, we visit Shwezigon Pagoda and its magnificent golden stupa, Htilominlo Temple noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decoration, and Gubyaukgyi Temple, with superb mural paintings of Jataka scenes. Later on, we visit Myinkaba Village, and observe the process of the Traditional Lacquer ware Industry one of Myanmar’s best-known handicrafts. In the afternoon, we visit Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece of the early-style temple with four impressive standing Buddha images. Thabinnyu Temple, the highest temple in Bagan, Dhammayangyi Temple noted for its remarkable brickwork. Before enjoying the sunset over the site from the breathtaking sunset hill, we stop at the colorful Nyaung U Market. This is a real local market selling beautiful fruit and vegetables, meats, fish, and clothes. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 6: Bagan – Full Day Visit (B)

A little bit challenge today for up climbing more than 700 hundred steps to visit Mt. Popa. The view from the top of Mt. Popa is spectacular. It’s a worthy place to visit before transferring back to the airport to take our evening flight to Yangon. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 7: Bagan – Mt. Popa – Yangon (B)
