Your trip will begin in Kuching, the capital of Sarawak. This city holds an essential political and economic role in the state. You will have the opportunity to visit the oldest building in the city, the Sarawak State Museum as well as the Tun Abdylk Hall, the Islamic Museum of Sarawak, the Astana (the former palace of the White Rajahs), or even the Chinese history museum. Then, you will spend several days in Batang Ai National Park in a longhouse to fully enjoy the surrounding flora and fauna. Finally, you will stay 3 nights in Santubong where you can visit the orangutan rehabilitation center of the Semenggoh reserve while crossing the jungle and botanical gardens. Departure for a visit to the Semenggoh orangutan rehabilitation center. This is the best place in Sarawak to observe primates in semi-freedom. Orangutans roam freely in the jungle and return to the center at mealtime.
