Morning (7:30 AM - 12:00 PM): Coastal Drive & Cham History The day begins with an early start as you depart Hue for the scenic drive to Hoi An. This journey is a destination in itself! You will traverse the historic Mandarin Road and ascend the legendary Hai Van Pass (Sea Cloud Pass). At the summit, pause to capture the breathtaking, panoramic vistas where the mountains dramatically meet the clear blue ocean and the vibrant city of Da Nang spreads out below. Descending into Da Nang, your first cultural stop is the Cham Museum, home to the world’s most important collection of Cham culture, providing context for the ruins you will see later in the tour. Next, take a stroll along the iconic My Khe Beach for a photo stop, viewing the giant Goddess of Mercy statue at Linh Ung Pagoda and observing local fishermen at work.

Afternoon: Arrival in Hoi An Ancient Town The final leg of the drive takes you along the coastline to Hoi An Ancient Town. After checking into your accommodation, the afternoon is dedicated to a leisurely walking tour through this beautifully preserved UNESCO World Heritage site—a former trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Your guide will lead you through a living museum of history:

• Cam Pho Communal House: One of Hoi An's oldest communal houses, representing the fusion of local and Chinese-Japanese traditions.

• The Japanese Covered Bridge (Chua Cau): A 400-year-old architectural symbol of the city, built to connect the Japanese and Chinese quarters.

• Quan Thang Ancient House: Admire the lively architecture and fine sculptures created by craftsmen from the famous Kim Bong carpentry village, offering an intimate look into a wealthy family’s daily life.

• Fujian (Phuc Kien) Assembly Hall: Marvel at the colorful fountains, ornate gates, and beautiful carved dragons in this religious gathering place dedicated to the deity Thien Hau.

Morning (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM): Kim Bong & Tra Nhieu Immersion Start your day with an invigorating bicycle ride to Hoi An pier, where you’ll board a ferry across the Thu Bon River to Kim Bong Village. This village is famous for its intricate wood carving tradition. Cycling around, you'll witness artisans at work in their workshops, observing the blend of Northern Vietnamese, Chinese, and Japanese techniques that define their unique style. Continue your scenic ride along quiet trails, passing through vast rice paddies and over bamboo bridges to Tra Nhieu Village. This trip is an opportunity for unique encounters: you may meet Ms. Duoc, a master of mat weaving, Mr. Kha, who crafts the iconic bamboo sampan basket boats, or Mr. Huynh Ri at his traditional shipyard. The entire route is framed by lush palm fields, rice fields, and the quintessential sight of farmers working with buffaloes.

Afternoon: Water Coconut Forest & Cooking Class From Tra Nhieu, embark on a scenic boat trip along the Thu Bon River toward Cam Thanh Village, famous for its water palm trees forest and fishing farms. The highlight is yet to come: you will transfer to a small, round bamboo basket boat (thung chai) and paddle into the tranquil water palm forest, trying your hand at the fun activity of crab catching. After the adventure, enjoy a relaxing moment at a local fisherman's house (Mr. Phong). Sip on green tea and receive a soothing foot massage using medicinal herbs grown in his family garden. This is pure relaxation! To conclude the immersive day, join a small, hands-on cooking class. You’ll prepare typical dishes using fresh vegetables from the famous Tra Que village, such as crispy pancakes (Banh Xeo) and Hoi An spring rolls. The reward is enjoying the delicious meal you prepared yourself.

Evening: Return to your hotel in the late afternoon. The rest of the evening is free for relaxation or last-minute souvenir shopping.

Morning (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM): Journey to My Son Sanctuary Today, you venture out on a half-day excursion to the sacred valley of the My Son Sanctuary, located approximately 40km from Hoi An. This UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site was the most important political and religious center of the mighty Champa Kingdom between the 7th and 13th centuries, and a burial place for its monarchs. As you leisurely explore the 70 ruined brick and stone architectural works, your expert guide will explain the cultural, historical, and architectural significance of this site. The atmosphere here is mystical, with ancient towers rising from the lush jungle. To complete the cultural experience, you will attend a captivating traditional Champa dancing show before leaving the sanctuary.

Midday: Departure After the excursion, you will return to the city for lunch. The remainder of the afternoon is dedicated to your departure. Your private driver will transfer you to Da Nang International Airport (DAD) or to a designated drop-off point in Hoi An for your onward travel arrangements.
