Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Greetings from Vietnam. When you arrive at Noi Bai International Airport, a driver and guide from Golden Trail Travel will meet you and take you to the hotel located in the center of Hanoi. Hanoi, the historic and vibrant capital of Vietnam, is home to some of Asia's most remarkable colonial buildings as well as a distinct old world charm. Following check-in, unwind on your own while working with our guide to review the plan for the next few days. Take a cyclo ride through the Old Quarter's busy streets to explore Hanoi's blend of modern and historical charm. After the tour, you will be warmly welcome with a special welcoming dinner in a typical Vietnamese food restaurant. Day 2: Hanoi city tour – Night Train to Lao Cai
Following a filling breakfast at the hotel, you will be met by our guide and a supported bus at the lobby at 7:30 a.m. with the purpose of exploring Hanoi and seeing some of the city's most well-known historical sites, including the Presidential Palace, the One Pillar Pagoda, Hochiminh's Mausoleum, and his former stilt-house residence. Continue traveling to the Temple of Literature: Originally constructed as a Confucian temple, this is the location of Vietnam's first university, established in 1070. The temple emphasizes the value that Vietnamese society has always placed on education.We'll go to the Museum of Ethnology, one of Vietnam's most fascinating museums. It's regarded as the greatest in the nation and features a sizable exhibit honoring the 54 ethnic minorities that make up the country. Eat lunch at a nearby restaurant. Explore Dong Xuan market and 36 Ancient Street after lunch. Return to the hotel to unwind and have a shower.We will have the opportunity to take in the distinctive Water Puppet Show, where we will learn about traditional Vietnamese instruments and vocals performed by actual musicians. Day 3: Lao Cai – Muong  Khuong
After enjoying a filling breakfast at the hotel, we head early to the Muong Khuong Sunday Market. The frontier district of Muong Khuong, located in Lao Cai province, shares a border with Yunnan province. It is home to 14 distinct hill tribal peoples, the majority of them are Hmong. Exploring the pristine landscapes and long-standing culture of the Hmong people is made distinctive and spectacular by cycling and visiting the vibrant Sunday Muong khuong market. On the route to the market, you can also take pictures of colorful individuals and intriguing sceneries. Day 4: Muong Khuong – Lung Khau Nhin – Cao Son – Coc Ly – Bac Ha
Begin early in the morning to overcome a strenuous ascent. We climb for 7 kilometers to reach the summit, then descend to the Chay River and face a 35 km battle to reach the summit. We all have a difficult and demanding day ahead of us today. We travel to Bac Ha town via the border route that separates China and Vietnam. Along the way, we take in the Chay River's stunning scenery and the rice terraces that line the hillsides.After lunch, have lunch on the way. Day 5: Bac Ha – Hoang Thu Pho – Ta Van Chu  - Can Cau – Lung Cai – Lung Phinh
Our trip's most exciting day is today. If we're lucky enough to get in Bac Ha on a Friday or Saturday night, we'll have the opportunity to view and participate in the colorful hill tribes market on Saturday morning in Can Cau Market or Bac Ha on Sunday Market. These marketplaces are frequently open on weekends for the hill tribes that reside nearby and visit the market to trade their own goods.Additionally, the market is where the locals display their love for their partner in addition to exchanging their own goods. There are stunning animals to purchase and sell, including dogs, cats, chickens, pigs, birds, buffalo, and cows, on the cattle corner.After a filling breakfast, we head back to the hotel and begin our bicycle tour through the town to a real hill tribe community. These people have been residing in this area for hundreds of years. They are the masters of North Vietnam's own cultural character. Savor a 6-kilometer stretch of gently rolling terrain before loading on our bikes and riding upward to Ta Van Chu, home to the Hmong people.We ride our bikes down buffalo paths and single-track trails, crossing several streams and climbing hills to reach Can Cau Market. Visit the Saturday Market with our time (if we come on Saturday). Take a break for a picnic lunch.We proceed along the concrete road to Lung Cai and then veer off onto a single track that leads to Lung Phin hamlet, where we will spend the night. We reach the village of Lung Phin in the late afternoon. Day 6: Lung Phin – Ban Gia – Na Tri
Today is yet another incredible day of our journey. We ride through an unspoiled area, passing by numerous charming hill tribal communities, through dense tropical forest, and over several streams.While cycling through some of North Vietnam's most breathtaking countryside, we also ponder the breathtaking scenery and pristine environment. Our journey is quite difficult; we ride on dirt paths and narrow trails, and occasionally we have to carry our bikes over streams and waterfalls. Nonetheless, the entire riding trip will be cycled at a descent speed. Day 7: Na Tri – Quang Uyen – Thu Ta – Nam Ly – Ho Thau
After having breakfast with our host, we leave Ecohomestay and travel to Quang Nguyen and Nam Ly, Ho Thau.Today is quite different from yesterday since we are cycling about a full distance upwards on dirt roads, motorways, buffalo roads, and single track trails. We ride our bikes from village to village, taking in the breathtaking views and captivating landscapes. We will divide our cycling day into two segments. We will all find the first stage to be easy as we ride on asphalt roads and concrete roads that lead to Nam Ly Village.The second part will be difficult since we'll be cycling beside the Nam Ly River and then crossing the stream to the hillside.We stay on course, climbing a hillside to reach Ho Thau at an elevation of 1000 meters. Day 8: Ho Thau – Nang Don – Chieu Lau Thi – Suoi Thau
After eating breakfast at the hotel, we hit the road from the Homestay, riding 45 km uphill on the Chieu Lau Thi slope on a single track and dirt road that leads to Section. A height of 2,406 meters.We are traveling across a really difficult pass today, which will take us from San Sa Ho to Chieu Lau Thi. In Chieu Lau Thi summit, we also come across several colorful Hmong people from Dao, Mong, Tay, Nung, and Coin Dao. Riding a bicycle across hillside, rice terrace, and historic tea farms on both concrete and dirt roads. Day 9: Suoi Thau – Nam Son –Nam Ai – Nam Hong
Wake up in a surreal location surrounded by rice terrace paddy fields, where you may take in the breathtaking scenery and unspoiled surroundings.Another fantastic day of our journey will begin with the sounds of the wild awakening us. We will then drink hot coffee and ginger tea and step outside to hunt clouds, dangle over our heads, or simply stroll in front of our homestay.This is a truly magnificent morning landscape. We enjoy a filling brunch with our host, bid them farewell for their help, and enjoy a fantastic evening. Day 10: Nam Hong – Thong Nguyen – Xuan Minh  - Lam Thuong Village
Our incredible cycling tour through the National Rice Terrace Heritage of Hoang Su Phi comes to an end today.After sharing a substantial breakfast with our host, we set out on our Ecohomestay cycling day. We cycle along a picturesque path that leads to Thong Nguyen Town before turning into a single track trail and dirt road that lead to Xuan Minh village.We turn into a motorcycle and gravel road to Bac Quang after arriving on Xuan Minh. Eat lunch at a nearby restaurant. Afterwards, we start pedaling and follow a single path that takes us through rice paddies and villages all the way to Lam Thuong Green Valley. Day 11: Lam Thuong – Thac Ba Lake – Vu Linh Ecohomestay

We will spend the night in the Vulinh resort, which is by the lake, where the Dao people live. You have free time in the afternoon to unwind, go for a stroll around some of the nearby towns, or take a boat ride around the intriguing Thac Ba Lake. Day 12: Vu Linh -  Son Duong – Hanoi
Enjoy the morning's unspoiled scenery over the lake from your window; you'll look great beside the charming lake. We start pedaling to ride Son Duong on single track and tarmac roads after paying the bill and checking out. Experience the everyday routine of the hill tribesmen by stopping by the local market in the morning on a side road to snap some photos for your journey. We also pass a lot of green tea farms, gardens with gum trees and palm trees, and hillside green tea plantations. When we get to Son Duong, we go to a nearby restaurant for lunch. We continue cycling to Tam Dao after lunch on a recently surfaced road with plenty of room to spare. After reaching Dai Dinh, take the shuttle bus to the city of Hanoi.
