Following breakfast, we embark on a profound journey south to the Imperial City of Hue. Today is dedicated to respect and remembrance as we travel through the former Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).

Our first essential stop is the legendary Vinh Moc Tunnels. Here, you will experience the undeniable evidence of Vietnamese heroism. These 1.7 km of tunnels, dug by local people over two years (1965–1967), served as a complete underground bomb shelter. Descending into the deep passages, you gain a deep sense of understanding and appreciation for the unyielding spirit of survival and community that defined this era.

Continuing south, we pause at the historical 17th Parallel. This site, once the dividing line of a nation, features the Hien Luong Bridge over the Ben Hai River. Standing here, viewing the brightly painted flag tower and the museum, the history of separation and ultimate unity feels incredibly tangible.

In the late afternoon, we arrive in Hue. After checking into the Rosaleen Boutique Hotel (or similar), the evening is entirely yours. We encourage you to leisurely stroll through the city center, absorbing the gentle, ancient charm of the capital illuminated at night.

8:00 AM: Our day of regal splendor begins at the Tomb of Emperor Minh Mang. This architectural masterpiece is famed for its perfect symmetry and its harmonious integration with the surrounding nature—a truly peaceful and majestic site.

Next, we experience Hue’s tranquility by taking a scenic boat trip along the Perfume River (Hương River) to Thuy Bieu Village. Known for its unique, fragrant grapefruit trees, this is a beautiful spot to enjoy a deeper local connection. We'll take a bicycle ride under the cool, fragrant shade of the grapefruit trees. We'll visit a village protector's temple and a traditional garden house. This is a perfect opportunity to interact with villagers working their fields and capture unique photos.

In the afternoon, we drive to the iconic Thien Mu Pagoda. Dating back to 1601, this is the spiritual heart of Hue, well-known for its majestic octagonal tower and commanding view of the river.

Our final destination is the majestic Hue Citadel. As the symbol of Vietnam’s imperial past, this vast complex houses the Imperial City (Hoang Thanh) and the Forbidden City (Cam Thanh). Walk through the South Gate and explore the Palace of Supreme Harmony, stepping into the powerful, elegant world of the Nguyen Dynasty.

7:30 AM: Today promises an epic drive! We depart Hue and head south along the Mandarin Road, conquering the legendary Hai Van Pass ("Sea Cloud Pass"). We’ll pause at the summit to capture the breathtaking view where the lush mountains plunge directly into the turquoise ocean and the skyline of Da Nang city glistens below.

Descending into Da Nang, we stop to visit the Cham Museum, which preserves the world's most important collection of Cham culture. We then enjoy a pleasant walk along My Khe Beach, admiring the giant Goddess of Mercy statues at Linh Ung Pagoda high on the hill.

In the afternoon, we transfer to Hoi An Ancient Town and immediately dive into the town’s essence:

• Japanese Covered Bridge (Chùa Cầu): Stroll across the 400-year-old icon, symbolizing the fusion of cultures.

Our cycling continues on serene trails through vibrant rice paddies, leading us to Tra Nhieu Village. You'll meet local masters, including Ms. Duoc (mat weaving), Mr. Kha (bamboo sampan basket making), and Mr. Huynh Ri (craftsman shipyard). From Tra Nhieu, we take a boat trip down the Thu Bon River to Cam Thanh Village. The fun ramps up as we switch to a small, round bamboo sampan basket boat! Your skipper will expertly navigate the water palm forest, where you’ll enjoy the unique activity of crab catching.
