Explore the preserved rooms and the historic bunker basement. Then, enjoy a tranquil walking tour, admiring the beautiful French colonial architecture of Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral and the elegant Saigon Central Post Office, designed by Gustave Eiffel. We then journey into Chinatown (Cho Lon), immersing ourselves in the bustling atmosphere of Binh Tay Market and visiting the ancient, spiritual Quan Am Pagoda. Our final stop is the fascinating Traditional Medicine Museum (FITO), where you'll gain insight into Vietnam's ancient healing practices through medicinal herb recipes and antique tools.

Today, we delve into two powerful, contrasting sites. First, we travel to the infamous Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible 250km network of underground pathways where the Viet Cong resistance was based. Walking through the jungle and having the option to enter a portion of these hand-dug tunnels gives you a visceral sense of historical challenge and perseverance. Afterward, we visit the striking Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh. Caodaism is a uniquely Vietnamese religion, blending elements from Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, and Catholicism. If timed correctly, you can witness the mesmerizing midday mass, a truly unique spiritual experience.

The Mekong adventure begins! We transfer to Ben Tre, the "Coconut Kingdom." Upon arrival, a scenic boat trip on the Ben Tre River introduces you to the daily rhythm of life on the water. We cruise to Nhon Thanh Village, where you can taste fresh, tropical fruits. Feel an immediate closeness to nature as you bike (or take a Tuk Tuk) along narrow paths, past coconut ranges and green rice fields. Lunch features the Delta delicacy, elephant ear fish. The highlight is settling into a local homestay, where you'll join your hosts in preparing a communal dinner—a beautiful moment of authentic cultural exchange and warmth.

After a local breakfast, we cross the vast Mekong River by ferry into Tra Vinh province, a region defined by its rich Khmer cultural heritage. After checking into your next homestay in Cau Ke village, you'll embark on a picturesque bike ride through Ba Mi village. This intimate journey allows you to meet local farmers working in their vegetable and fruit gardens, witnessing their traditional way of life. The day concludes with a visit to a peaceful Khmer pagoda, marveling at the distinct architecture and vibrant spiritual life before returning for a delightful home-cooked dinner.

In Sa Dec, we visit the beautiful Kien An Cung Pagoda and, crucially, the Huynh Thuy Le's House, famously featured in Marguerite Duras’ novel, “L’Amant” (The Lover). Discover the blend of Oriental and Western architecture and the romantic history preserved within its walls. After exploring the bustling local market, we continue to Long Xuyen, stopping en route to visit a local crocodile farm and a Cao Dai temple, adding to your cultural tapestry.

The grand finale of the Mekong! This morning, we take a boat to the Long Xuyen Floating Market , an authentic and animated hub of river commerce on a small tributary. Afterward, we drive to Rach Gia and board a high-speed boat (approx. 2 hours 10 minutes) for the crossing to Phu Quoc Island. Upon arrival, our driver will transfer you to your beachfront resort. Your luxury beach retreat has officially begun!
