Today, we will spend time to explore the fascinating Inle Lake. Located 900 meters above sea level, which is bounded by gorgeous mountains of the Shan plateau. This place also saw the emergence of the Inthar tribe famous not only for their unique leg-rowing style and fishing method but also for the floating gardens used as vegetable plantations. If by chance today coincides with the market day, we will make use of our time to drop by the regional market which takes place on a 5-day rotation basis in different areas of the lake.
Apart from that, we will head to Phaungdawoo Pagoda, whose reputation is given by richly gilded five 800-year-old Buddha images. Besides, our included visit will introduce you to the beautiful teakwood Ngaphechaung monastery (also known as jumping cat monastery); its foundation could be traced back to one and a half-century ago.
