You may visit a local house to learn about the tattoo tradition of the Chin Tribe: meet six women with different face tattoos and learn about the history, meaning, and process of this longstanding custom. Today, you’ll visit several local Chin villages to learn more about traditional tribal life. You will drive to Mashiyaw village and then trek to two small villages, Kyar Do and Lupet, where you can meet local people, learn more about their tattoo customs, and visit the village sites, including the sacrifice post and the traditional circle stone slab cemetery. Afterward, you’ll drive to the village of Mindat and stay overnight.
