Lodging: a hotel in Hanoi
We leave Hanoi this morning and travel through the historical site of Duong Lam hamlet, which is well-known for its distinctive architecture and Red River Delta way of life. We head northwest into Vietnam.You will be able to visit a neighboring pagoda and the communal house of Mong Phu.Following that, we carry on with our picturesque journey to Vu Linh, a peaceful village beside Ba Lake. Today's highlight will be a tour to the Red Dao people's traditional habitat.
These days, we enjoy taking a boat ride through the greenery to enjoy the little islands of Thac Ba. You are welcome to dive into its crystal clear waters.We depart Thac Ba after lunch and travel to Xuang Giang, where we begin our hike through rice fields and villages until we arrive at a Tay village.
Walk time: two hours
Following breakfast, we take a beautiful drive to Coc Pai, where you will start your hike to Sin Khau. You will have the opportunity to interact with hospitable locals and learn about their farming practices along the way.Enjoy a relaxing time in a Nung village as you wrap up your day.
Five hours of walking total during the trek
Another day up the mountain to see the breathtaking vistas of the province of Yen Bai. Your trekking day consists of hill climbing and descent as well as visits to Red Dzao, Hmong, and Nung villages.You will learn about the rice terraces from our guide, as well as how to visit the locals at their farm.
