Day 1: Yangon / Mandalay – Kalaw
Today, after the flight from Mandalay/ Yangon to Kalaw, our driver and guide will welcome you for a scenic drive in Shan state, passing the lush plantation of Sunflower, and teakwood to reach Kalaw station. Your first day here will be spent discovering the historical sites that reflect the British colonial charm including an elegant train station, and many different villas.
Day 2: Kalaw – Tar Yaw Village
After breakfast, we depart from your hotel to the trekking point where you prepare your bags and stuff for 3 days of trekking. We will encounter tea, and cheroot plantations before reaching the habitat of the Danu minority in Ywar Thi village.
Our destination of the day is the place where the Palaung people live. The trekking this afternoon offers panoramic views of the area and great touch to local life. Mingle with a local family for the first night of homestay.
Day 3: Tar Yaw village – Nang Te Thee Le village
This morning, we take 2 hours to walk through Hin Khar Gone and Myin Saine Gone village. You are offered to join local people on their farm to appreciate their way of life.
As we proceed to Nang Te, we take a chance to share lunch with the Pa O tribe in Sar Bin village.
The highlight of this evening is to learn how to cook traditional Shan foods with our guide
Day 4: Nang The Le The – Hti Thein village
Another day on the hillside of Shan state, trekking via Kong Hla village to see the Pao group and get to know further about their plantation works.
There are numerous photographic chances for you to capture the best of this area. Spend your night in Hti Thein village.
Day 5: Hti Thein – Indein – Inle Lake
The highlight of this day is the descendant to Indein from Hti Thein. Along with unbeaten lake views, you will be amazed by the ancient stupas and pillars that remained from the XVI centuries in Indein.
Our boat ride will be await to transfer you to your lakeside resort for leisure.
Day 6: Inle Lake – Sagar
After breakfast, we travel off beaten track to Sagar, where there are many floating stupas. The boat trip enables you to behold the typical floating gardens and stilt villages of the Intha people.
Return to your resort with an incredible sunset view.
Day 7: Inle – Kakku – Yangon / Mandalay
An excursion to Kakku exposes you to the unique culture of the Pa- O tribe. Our local guide will introduce you to the distinctive customs and traditions of these friendly people before you proceed to Heho airport for the flight to Yangon/ Mandalay
