Day 1: Beng Mealea, Koh Ker Temple & Camping (L, D)

After pick up you at your hotel, we depart with beautiful sightseeing of rural Cambodia countryside. Get chance to taste a few bites of bamboo sticky rice – Cambodian traditional famous snack and observe incense making en route. Continue to visit less touristy Beng Mealea jungle temple. This temple located 60 km east of the main group of temples at Angkor Wat and built during the reign of King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century. Until now it’s never been restored. Its primary material is sandstone and it is surrounded by moats. The basic layout is three enclosing galleries around a central sanctuary. Resume drive to visit the remnants of the Khmer Empire’s capital, the Pre-Angkorian temple, constructed in the late 9th century. Explore the amazing pyramid architecture unparalleled is the seven tiered and 36-metre high, a double sanctuary (Prasat Thom/Prang). Great views await you after an adventurous climb to the top. Overnight in the camp near the temple area

Day 2: Phnom Kulen Mountain Trekking ( B ,  L , D )

Trekking through the jungle, local farms and remote villages. Go by car from Svay Leu to Beng Mealea for dinner and overnight,,Breakfast will be cooked by our guide and then we continue our adventure on feet along the mountain range to Svay Leu village. It will be a long way to walk today and you will have a very light lunch and seasonal fruits on the way.,It will take 7 hours trekking with 18km and the scenery on the way will be all about jungle, local farms and very remote villages. On arrival at Svay Leu village, you will be transferred by private vehicle to Beng Melea village for dinner and overnight. Overnight in tent.

Day 3: Phnom Kulen Mountain - Siem Reap ( B , L )

Visit Beng Mealea temple. Be transfered back to Siem Reap by car .After breakfast we will take about 1 hour to visit Beng Melea temple. It was built during the reign of King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century. Its primary material is sandstone and it is surrounded by moats. The basic layout is three enclosing galleries around a central sanctuary. There is extensive carving of scenes from Hindu mythology, including the Churning of the Sea of Milk and Vishnu being borne by the bird god Garuda. Causeways have long balustrades formed by bodies of the seven-headed Naga serpent. Smaller in size than Angkor Wat, the king’s main monument, Beng Mealea nonetheless ranks among the Khmer empire’s larger temples. And you will be transferred by our private van to Siem Reap with 1 hour driving.

Experiences: Fantastic jungle experience at Beng Mealea Temple,,Beng Mealea or Bung Mealea is a temple from the Angkor Wat period. It is located 40 km east from the main group of temples at Angkor, Siem Reap, on the ancient royal highway to Preah Khan Kompong Svay. Beng Mealea was built as a Hindu temple, but some carvings depict Buddhist motifs. Its primary material is sandstone and it is largely unrestored, with trees and thick brush thriving amidst its towers and courtyards and many of its stones lying in great heaps. The history of the temple is unknown and it can be dated only by its architectural style, identical to Angkor Wat, so scholars assumed it was built during the reign of king Suryavarman II in the early 12th century. This site was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List on September 1, 1992 in the Cultural category.Beng Mealea is largely unrestored and off the beaten path, with trees and brush thriving amidst its towers and courtyards. You can wander around a huge maze, looking at stones and columns lying in great heaps, and explored semi-collapsed tunnels.
