Day 2: - Huay Xai – Nam Kan National Park.
Founded back in 2004, the Gibbon Experience is first and foremost a tourism-based conservation project that helps protect part of the Bokeo Forest in northern Laos. The project sustains itself by inviting tourists to make the journey deep into the jungle, experience trekking & ziplines and stay overnight in wooden huts at the top of high trees (at a height of 30 to 40 meters) - allegedly the highest treehouses in the world. It's an incredibly special travel moment you won't find anywhere else in the world made possible! The transfer into Nam Kan National Park from Huay Xai to spot gibbons takes 2.5 hours by jeep or truck and an hour's trek into the jungle. After a brief trek to the equipment camp, you'll be set up with ziplining harnesses and gloves. Make your way through the well-trodden jungle trails, trekking and ziplining, ending the day at a designated treehouse. All of the treehouses are made with wood reclaimed from poachers and are equipped with electric lights. Beds, covered with mosquito nets, are basic but comfortable. At night, you may chill with the other trekkers, getting to know one another over some beers and card games.Meals: Breakfast.Accommodation: Treehouse in Nam Kan National Park.

Day 3: - Nam Kan National Park: Gibbon Experience.
Light breaks, wake up this morning to the sound of gibbons. Spend today trekking through stunning jungle scenery and enjoying exhilarating (and at times terrifying) zipline routes, while also visiting other treehouses in the Gibbon Experience network. The ziplines vary in length and altitude – the longest and highest is about 500 meters long and 120 meters high. The exhilaration of flying in the air as you take in the beautiful views around is priceless. You will also stop at several observation decks overlooking the lush canopy to watch out the wildlife. There are gibbons in the reserve and you may hear their siren calls echoing through the jungle canopy, but they are rare and hard to see. The best time is early morning and the guides will be on hand to help you find them. Tour guides are also there to help you enjoy the reserve, explore by zip-line or on foot. You will choose how you want to spend your time, there is no strict schedule, food will come when you get hungry, and the guides will escort you to your tree house and around. Even if you don't see any gibbons the chance to live in such an unusual environment and wake up to the sounds of the jungle should not be missed.Rest of the day, enjoy sunset views, drinking and fun card games again in your treehouse.Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.Accommodation: Treehouse in Nam Kan National Park.

Day 10: - Explore Luang Prabang.
An early start provides the fantastic opportunity to witness the captivating centuries old daily tradition of the alms giving ceremony, Tak Bat. Before sunrise, hundreds of saffron-clad monks file out from the old town's 35 temples to collect their daily alms from faithful local residents.Following the ceremony, wander around the beautiful ancient town of Luang Prabang taking in all of the sights. Enjoy a leisurely walk to the magnificent stupa of Wat Wisunarat, one of Luang Prabang's most historically important temples, built in the 16th century and serving as a small museum for religious artefacts. Next stop is Wat That Luang, traditionally the cremation site for Lao Royalty and housing the ashes of King Sisavang Vong and his brother, interred inside the large stupa, erected in 1910.Continue to Wat Xieng Thong, a 16th century temple which epitomizes the elegance and grace of Luang Prabang architecture and showcases classic Lao style roofs. This temple was one of only two temples spared by the Black Flag army in 1887, and it was then used as the leader’s headquarters during the invasion.Pay visits to Wat Mai and the nearby former Royal Palace, now the National Museum, before climbing to the top of Mount Phousi. The 100 meter (328 feet) hill is crowned by a gilded stupa, That Chomsi, which dominates the old city centre. Enjoy a sunset view of the gilded stupa as well as a panoramic view of the city and surrounding landscape.Meals: Breakfast. Accommodation: Hotel in Luang Prabang.
