Day 1: Arrival day in Yangon (D)

Upon arrival at Yangon International Airport; welcome by our well-experienced guide. After that, we will visit Sule Pagoda, Mahabandoola Park, The Grand City Hall and old colonial buildings around the city center, and transfer to our hotel.

In the afternoon, we visit Shwedagon Pagoda, the symbol of Myanmar. This massive bell-shaped stupa rises nearly 100 meters above its hill-top surroundings. In the evening, we will have dinner with Cultural Show at Karaweik Palace Restaurant. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 2: Yangon Tour (B)
Today, we will visit “Kyauktawgyi Pagoda and Royal White Elephant”. Kyauktawgyi Pagoda is also known as Lawka Chanthar Arbayar Laba Muni Buddha Image. Within the walking distance from Minn Dhamma Hill, there is an Elephant house where the three white elephants are kept. The rest of the day will be free for shopping at the Scott market. (note: the market is closed on Mondays). Overnight in Yangon.
Day 3: Yangon – Fly to Bagan (B, D)

After breakfast at the hotel, we transfer to the airport for a morning flight to Bagan. Arrive Bagan and transfer to the hotel. Bagan, one of Asia’s most popular archaeological destinations and one out of two most pre-eminent religious old cities in South East Asia. The sightseeing starts with a visit to Gubyaukgyi Temple (Wetkyiinn village) – the 13th century ‘cave temple’ with fine frescoes of scenes from Jakatas; Ananda Temple – one of the masterpieces surviving and remaining in Bagan and considered to be in the Mon architecture style; Thatbyinnyu Temple – the highest building on the Bagan plain.

Dhamanyangyi Temple – built by King Narathu in the 12th century which displayed the finest brickwork in Bagan. A visit to the lacquerware factory followed by a visit to the local village. Passing through Shwesandaw or Mahazedi Pagoda then we proceed to the sunset hill to enjoy the majestic sunset over Bagan temples. Dinner with a water puppet show at a local restaurant. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 4: Bagan (B, L)

Breakfast at the hotel, visit Nyaung U market – a typical local market; proceed visit to one of the most distinctive pagodas Shwezigon Pagoda – the holiest one believed to be enshrined with Buddha tooth and hair.

In the afternoon, we continue to Myinkabar Gubyaukgyi Temple– well known for its wall painting depicting scenes from the Jataka, and take a boat ride along the Ayeyarwaddy River to discover the local life and view the sunset. We then return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Bagan.

Day 5: Bagan – Mt. Popa – Fly to Thandwe – Ngapali Beach (B)
Early breakfast at the hotel, drive to Mount Popa, visit the great extinct volcano. Rising out of the shimmering heat, the solitary volcanic crag of Mt. Popa is home to Myanmar’s most powerful “nats”. Visit the Nat Museum with its life-sized statues of the 37 Nat Gods. Walk up the steps to the stupas and shrines that top the hill above the museum, seeing many pilgrims along the way. The way by the roadside can see the locals climbing up the palm tree and making jaggery. Drive back to Bagan and transfer to the airport for flight to Thandwe. Arrive at the airport, we transfer to the hotel and free time. Overnight at the hotel in Ngapali beach.
Day 6: Ngapali Beach (B)
Today is free at your leisure to relax on the beautiful beach. Apart from the normal beach activities, excursions like visiting the small fishing villages and local markets; exploring the countryside by bicycle and boat trips to the magnificent offshore islands can be experienced in Ngapali.
Day 7: Ngapali Beach (B)
Enjoy your full free day at your leisure to relax on the beautiful beach. No services provide. Only breakfast and accommodation have been booked in advance.
Day 8: Thandwe – Fly to Yangon – Departure (B)
Breakfast at the hotel, we take the morning flight back to Yangon in a good time to connect our International homeward flight. Tour Burma ends.
