Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau.
You will be met up with Vietnam Cycling team at your hotel in Hanoi. Depart for Mai Chau. Enjoy the spectacular scenery whist transfer. From the top of Cun Mountain, one can admire the superb panorama of Mai Chau surrounded by a green valley and stilt houses. Arrival in Mai Chau at Poom Coong village around 11.00, you have a little time for a short walk around the village before having lunch, is provided in a local stilt house. After lunch, you cycle the Mai Chau valley, starting from the Poom Coong village to other Thai village of Xam Khoe. You pedal on a mix of good single track paths and undulating rough jeep trails. The views are stunning as the ride passes through peaceful villages and across rice fields. On arriving in Xam Khoe village the rest of the afternoon is at leisure to wander by foot or explore the village trails further by bike. Dinner and overnight at local home (homestay).
Day 2: Mai Chau – Hanoi.
After breakfast enjoy relatively easy biking along small village paths at the foot of the area mountains (different route). Stops are made en route for you to take picture or to chat with local Thai and Muong people. There is about 25 – 30 km to pedal today before you arrive back in the Poom Coong village around noon, in time for lunch. After lunch, you are picked up by our car and brought back to Hanoi.
