Fly to Luang Prabang and meet another guide who will provide an introduction to Luang Prabang to you.Wander around the beautiful ancient town of Luang Prabang taking in all of the sights. Trek through jungle park-lands to Kuang Si Bear Rescue Centre, located nearby. Established in 2003, the centre has rescued numerous bears from wildlife traffickers and traditional medicine traders. Here, you will help-out with the bears' midday scatter feed. Afterwards, stroll to Kuang Si Waterfall, where a 60m cascade feeds into multi-tiered turquoise pools set in a beautiful lush forest setting. Translated as Rock Cave, it is famous for housing over 2,500 Buddha statues of all sizes and for being a place of pilgrimage for locals.At noon time, the boat arrives at Kamu Lodge. After breakfast, the boat departs for another day of nature discovery along the legendary Mekong River with one stop planned along the way to Huay Xai. Lunch is served on board in a buffet style with a main course from Laos' main culinary delights and a choice of fish and meat dishes.Stop at a traditional village en-route to observe rural life along the Mekong and witness the daily life of ethnic minorities and their talented craftsmanship.You will reach Huay Xai, the provincial capital of Bokeo, a popular entry point to Laos from northern Thailand, around 17:00.
