Day 2: Lak Lake – Buon Me Thuot
After breakfast, we’ll visit one of Emperor Bao Dai’s old summer retreats, which offers a fascinating glimpse into the country’s rich history. Then, we’ll hop on a boat and head to a remote village on the far side of Lak Lake. This journey includes the opportunity for some light trekking. Once we return to Lak Lake, we’ll have lunch and some rest before embarking on a 50 km bike ride to Buon Me Thuot. The ride is mostly flat, providing an excellent chance to take in the region’s scenic beauty. We should arrive in Buon Me Thuot around 4:30 pm. The evening is yours to explore the city at your leisure, with plenty of options for food, entertainment, and shopping available.
Day 3: Buon Me Thuot – Pleiku
We’ll start the day by transferring from the hotel, located about 6.5 km outside of the city, to the beginning of the bike ride. The first 10 km of the journey take us on a beautiful country road that eventually narrows and passes through small farms and villages for about 15 km. This stretch of terrain is mostly flat, providing picturesque views of the local countryside. Next, we’ll enter a stunning rubber tree plantation that extends for 25 km, with some rolling hills and small inclines. We’ll stop for a picnic-style lunch along the way. After lunch, you have the option to bike an additional 30 km before a transfer takes you the rest of the way to the hotel in the heart of Pleiku town. You’ll be staying overnight in a hotel located in the heart of the town, giving you the chance to explore the local area and soak up the culture.
Day 4: Pleiku – Ngoc Hoi
We will depart from the hotel at around 8:00 or 8:30 am to start our biking adventure. Our first stop will be a visit to a “Sea Lake,” which offers a stunning backdrop for our journey. We will take some time to enjoy the scenery before moving on to the next destination. Next, we will visit a local minority village called Ba Na, where we will have the chance to see a scenic suspension bridge and a traditional wooden church. This stop offers a unique glimpse into the local culture and way of life. From there, we will continue our journey to Russian Tanks and Charlie Hill, where we can learn about the country’s history from a different perspective. We will stop for lunch in Kon Tum, a lively town in the region. After lunch, we will continue our biking journey, covering approximately 69 km through rolling hills until we reach our hotel in Ngoc Hoi. Along the way, we will have plenty of opportunities to take in the breathtaking scenery of the region and immerse ourselves in the local culture.
Day 5: Ngoc Hoi – Phuoc Son
After breakfast at 8:30 am, we will depart for the highlight of the trip, an incredible 80-kilometer journey through a dense jungle forest that runs along the border of Ngoc Linh National Park and Ngoc Linh Mountain. The towering peak of Ngoc Linh Mountain, located in the Truong Son mountain range, reaches 2400 meters, and you will be traveling along the famous Ho Chi Minh Trail. During the ride, we will pass through local villages where the Ba Na and Sedang minorities reside. A lunch stop is planned at a local restaurant along the way. In the afternoon, a vehicle transfer will take us to Phuoc Son, with an estimated arrival time of 5:00 pm. We will enjoy dinner organized in Phuoc Son and spend the night in a local guest house.
Day 6: Phuoc Son – Hoi An
After breakfast at 7:00 am at the hotel, we will depart at 8:00 am for an exciting day of biking through 60 kilometers of stunning jungle scenery, featuring incredible waterfalls and landscapes along the way.
