Day 1: Cebu Arrival – City tour
Upon arrival in Cebu, you will be met at the airport and taken on guided city sightseeing. The first stop will be at the iconic Magellan’s Cross. Ferdinand Magellan was a Portuguese explorer who organised the Spanish expedition to the East Indies and came to Cebu in April 1512, claiming it for King Phillip of Spain and planting a cross to symbolize its Christianization. Proceed to the Basilica Minore of the Christ Child, where is displayed the image of Jesus as a child – a Magellan’s baptismal gift to Queen Juana, the first Christian Filipina. Continue to Fort San Pedro, a military defence fort in Cebu, built during colonial Spanish period in 1565. Drive to Plaza Parian via the country’s oldest street and make a short stop at Casa Gorordo. This museum showcases the elegant lifestyle of the Spanish and Filipino elite of the 18th century. Cross over to Mactan Island and proceed to the Church of our Lady of the Rule, a national shrine visited by many who attribute Mactan’s economic success to her devotion. Next, visit a guitar factory to see how renowned Philippine guitars are made. The final stop is the Liberty Shrine, erected on the battlefield where Magellan met his defeat at the hands of the chieftain of Mactan, Datu Lapu-Lapu. Today a statue of Lapu-Lapu towers over mangroves on the very shores of his triumphant battle. After the tour transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Cebu.
Day 2: Oslo Whale Shark Watching (B,L)
Start your day with an early pick up from your hotel in Cebu and drive through the scenic view along the Southern Cebu coastline. Early morning arrival will give you a good time to see the friendly whale sharks. Whale sharks are the largest fish on the planet and they can be seen off the coast of Tan-awan, which is 10km away from Oslob. Proceed by boat to the place where it’s possible to swim and interact with these gentle giants. After the unique experience with the sharks, continue to Tumalog Falls. After lunch, drive back to Cebu. Overnight at the hotel in Cebu.
Day 3: Mactan island (B,L)
After breakfast at the hotel you will be transferred to Mactan pier to board the boat for the island-hopping tour. You will spend your day snorkeling with tropical fishes and visiting the tropical islands of Caohagan, Nalusuan and Hilutangan. Overnight at the hotel in Cebu.
Day 4: Cebu – Bohol – Panglao Island (B,L)
Early morning transfer to Cebu port for boarding the fast ferry to Bohol departing at 6.00am and arriving in Tagbilaran port at 8.00am. Upon arrival in Tagbilaran, transfer to your hotel and then proceed to Bohol for country tour.   Pay a short visit to Baclayon Church, the oldest church in Bohol made from coral stone which still retains its centuries-old architectural design. Unfortunately, this church sustained severe damage from the magnitude 7.2 earthquake in 2013. Proceed to the Tarsier Sanctuary where you will have the opportunity to see the world’s smallest monkey, in its natural habitat . For lunch, proceed with Loboc River Cruise with Filipino-style lunch on board a floating restaurant. A leisurely drive will take guests through the scenic countryside of thick nipa palms, coconut plantations and mahogany forest going to the town of Carmen. Go up to the highest point to view the Chocolate Hills, consisting of 1,268 haycock hills with heights ranging from 40-120 meters. During summer they are covered in green grass that turns brown (like chocolate) during the dry season, hence the name. After the Chocolate Hills, visit to the Butterfly Sanctuary and Bilar Man-made Forest. Located in Bilar, the Butterfly Garden houses hundreds of butterfly species with a nature trail, feeding area, plant farm, breeding center, and a gift shop. Bilar Man-made Forest stretches up to two kilometers and is made up of red and white mahogany trees is located along the border of Loboc and Bilar towns. After the tour transfer to Panglao island.
