Day 1: Arrival Hohhot

Transfer to hotelMeals: No MealsArrive in Hohhot, the capital city of Inner Mongolia, you will be met at the airport by tour guide and transferred to your comfortable hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 2: Hohhot

Zhaojun Tomb, Inner Mongolia Museum, Dazhao TempleMeals: Breakfast & LunchAfter breakfast, your tour guide will meet you at hotel. Enjoy the city tour in Hohhot with Zhaojun Tomb which is one of the biggest tombs of Han Dynasty. It is said to be the resting place of the famous historic princess Wang Zhaojun whose husband was a Xiongnu Chanyu, The Emperor. And the Inner Mongolia Museum. With a total area of 15,000 square meters, the exhibition area is about 7, 000 square meters, boasting a good selection of Mongolian items and a historical lineage of this vast grassland.After lunch, continue the visit to Dazhao Temple. Built in 1580, it is the first Lamaism Temple in Hohhot. And originally set the silver Buddha figure of Sakyamuni, the lamasery was called silver Buddha figure temple in the ancient time. At night, enjoy your free leisure evening to explore the city.

Day 3: Hohhot - Xilamuren Grassland

Xilamuren Grassland, Honggeer AobaoMeals: Breakfast & Lunch & DinnerDepart from your hotel in the morning, you will take about 1.5 hours driving to Xilamuren Grassland which is one of the must-see attractions in Inner Mongolia. Arrive at Xilamuren and you will have a local welcome ceremony - Xiamajiu which would show you the enthusiasm from local people. Then, you are free to wander on the grassland or ride a horse (expense on your own).In the afternoon, visit to Honggeer Aobao where you will see the ethnic performance and join in the activities of local custom. And you will watch the famous show - Legend of Monan.At night, you will attend the Mongolian banquet for dinner and wear the Mongolian style dress, which allows you experience to be a Mongolian nobleman.you will stay in a Mongolian-style tent for overnight. Far away from the light pollution, you will have chance to see the stars shinning in the night sky.

Day 4: Xilamuren Grassland - Baotou - Kubuqi Desert

Wudang Lamasery, Drive to Kubuqi DesertMeals: Breakfast & Lunch & DinnerYou could get up early to catch the stunning sunrise on grassland. After breakfast, drive for 2.5 hours to Baotou and visit to Wudang Lamasery. Along with the Potala Palace in Tibet, Taer Lamasery in Qinghai province and Labrang Temple in Gansu Province, Wudang Lamasery is one of the four famous Temples of Tibetan Buddhism in China and the largest one in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.After lunch, you will drive for 2.5 hours into the deep area of Kubuqi Desert along the famous Desert-crossing Highway. On the way, you would see the magical view changing from grassland to desert, and the color of landform changes from green to yellow. Wandering on the desert and you could try the adventure activities - sand skiing, strop, landover crossing the desert (all the activities on the desert is on your own expense). Stay overnight at the Desert Hotel.

Day 5: Kubuqi Desert - Bayan Nur

Drive to Bayan Nur, Wuliangsuhai LakeMeals: Breakfast & Lunch & DinnerYou could get up early to catch the sunrise view if you were interested. After breakfast, enjoy your free leisure morning.At noon, check out and drive for 1.5 hours and cross the Yellow River, you will get to Wuliangsuhai Lake Scenic Area. As the Oxbow Lake formed by the diversion of the Yellow River, it is a large grassland lake which is rarely seen in desert and semi-desert regions in the world. The rippling lake and picturesque reeds marshes will please your eyes. You will take the small boat and get closed to the lake.After the trip, drive for 2 hours to Bayan Nur and stay overnight there.

Day 6: Bayan Nur - Ejina Banner

Drive to jina BannerMeals: Breakfast & Lunch & DinnerAfter breakfast, please check out. Today, you will spend a long journey around 7 hours to Ejina Banner. On the way, you will visit to Fantasy Canyon where is famous for its peculiar landscape. Arrive at Ejina Banner in the late afternoon and stay overnight.

Ejina Populus Euphratica Forest National Nature Reserve,Meals: Breakfast & Lunch & DinnerToday, enjoy your full day exploration to Ejina Populus Euphratica Forest National Nature Reserve, the motherland of Populus Euphratica. Here, you could see the golden sea of populus euphratica forest and the boundless desert. There are different views of Populus Euphratica forest in the eight parts of reserve, making it a paradise for the photographers. After the tour, drive back to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 8: Ejina Banner

Juyanhai Lake, Heicheng Historic SiteMeals: Breakfast & Lunch & DinnerThe second day in Ejina would include the visit to Juyanhai Lake firstly. Under the clear blue sky, the gulls are often seen foraging in the vast reeds, which shows the harmonious beauty of nature. Standing in the oasis of desert makes you have an illusion of being in the Watertown of southeastern China. Juyanhai is a good place to shoot the sunrise if you could get up early enough.In the afternoon, you will visit to Heicheng Historic Site, the most complete and largest ancient city along the ancient Silk Road. Entering the site, you will not only see the Heicheng Historic Site, but will also see the odd woods - the tomb of Populus Euphratica, Red Town Historic Site, and Datong Town Historic Site. After the picturesque the view of sunset, you will be transferred back to hotel.
