Day 1: Arrival Luang Prabang

Arrive at the airport in a small town of Northern Laos Luang Prabang. After immigration formalities, meets a local guide and transfer to hotel (about 15 minutes). After check in hotel in town, free to relax or explore town before dinner and visit night market.

  • Important note: Verify your passport is valid for at least six months after your date of exit from Laos. You may not be permitted to get in Laos with less than 6 months expiration on your passport
  • Luangprabang is the oldest city in Laos, and before the 16th century it was the capital city of the land of million elephants (Laos). The town is a beautifully preserved and in 1995 it was added to UNESCO`s World heritage list.

Day 2: Luang Prabang, waterfall

Today, explore the sublime treasures of Luang Prabang. Rising at dawn to view traditional alms procession of monks passing slowly through town, visit morning market to see local people bring their products sell on the street from early morning until 10 AM. Get back to hotel for breakfast before cycle to Kuangsi waterfall, on the way visit villages; see the local people work in the rice fields and local activities. After 30 km riding enjoy swimming at the waterfall then we have lunch at the local restaurant, after swimming and lunch optional drive or cycle back to town.

In the evening, enjoy the outdoor night market, one of the most interesting in all of Southeast Asia.

Day 3: Luang Prabang cycle to Muangnan

After breakfast, we drive to Kuangsi waterfall, after enjoying waterfall we drive back to the junction where we start riding on unpaved road along Mekong River through country side and villages, this road connect to other district of LuangPrabang province and only local people along Mekong River ride their motorbikes and truck to LuangPrabang that’s why this road is not busy. We ride without support vehicle today; our support vehicle will drive straight on main road to Muangnan where we stay overnight. We bring lunch pack from LuangPrabang and stop for lunch at the hut of local people at the rice fields or under the tree when we are hungry. Riding today is easy on unpaved road no big climbs, most of the road is undulating; we stop at the villages and rice fields observing their life style. We some time cross the stream and after midway there are some short climbs but the road is very quiet, we ride through the farm and rice fields before we get into the town of Muangnan where we stay overnight.

Distance: 52 km (no support van follow riders, the van will drive on the main road and meet the group in Muangna)

Day 4: Muangnan – Kasi

After breakfast at the guesthouse or local restaurant, we start riding from guesthouse heading east on direction to LuangPrabang, the first 4 km we cycle on undulating road, after that we start the first big climb for 3 km, after the top the road is undulating and descend to the junction to LuangPrabang, we turn right. We stop for snacks and water every 20 km. After the junction the road is more hilly and some big climbs, we transfer for 32 km to the restaurant on top of mountain known as Phoukaolak (9 km mountain) we have lunch at local restaurant on top of mountain, after lunch we cycle the rest 33 km to our destination, from the restaurant is easy ride downhill to the bottom and the rest is undulating road to our destination of Kasi where we overnight.

Day 5: Kasi – Vang vieng

After breakfast at guesthouse preparing by our guide optional cycle or transfer to Vangvieng depending on the road condition.

Transfer: we transfer by van to Vangvieng, start cycling before town and cross Nam Song River to other side through scenic view and mountain to lagoon, after lunch you can swim at blue lagoon before we cycle back to town.

Day 6: Vang vieng rest day

Today is free day to enjoy the scenic outside town, we recommend joining hot air balloon early morning over the beauty of Vangvieng, after breakfast cycle outside town on loop enjoying natural beauty and relaxed atmosphere of Vang Vieng. Stop at the cave, blue lagoon for swimming, climbing up to the top of view Point Mountain for panoramic view of nature, lime stone mountains and scenic view, in the afternoon kayaking on Namsong river or ride buggy car if you like challenging

This pause in Vang Vieng is the perfect opportunity to relax after several days of riding and to prepare for the next stage of our journey.

Day 7: Vangvieng – Muang Feuang

After breakfast we transfer out of town for 15 km to avoid traffic, we cycle on road No. 13 north but less traffic because most of the cars and trucks run on express road, we stop for lunch at Hinherb village, after lunch we cycle and turn away from road 13th north to other town called Muang Feuang, where we overnight.

Day 8: Muang Feuang - Banvang

After breakfast prepare by your guide, we cycle from your guesthouse, riding today is easy, we cycle though Lao villages surrounded by paddy fields and lime stone mountains you can stop for photo when you like, the scenery is very beautiful and the road is almost flat and undulating. After 53 km riding we stop for lunch at local restaurant in a small town. after lunch we keep riding the rest 32 km to our destination, riding after the town is easy ride on undulating road, we ride through some short climbs before our destination locate at a small village.

Day 9: Banvang – Vientiane

Our guide will prepare breakfast for the group, after breakfast we cycle on main road along Mekong River enjoying Mekong River and look at Thailand on other side, we stop for water every 30 km. we keep riding for 70 -80 km before transfer the rest to hotel in Vientiane capital.

Day 10: Vientiane cycle to Nampien national park

In the morning transfer to Buddha Park, after visit Buddha Park, start cycle along Mekong River through villages and rice fields outside town, we meet the main road to southern Laos but we turn out from main road riding along country side to Nampien yorapa national park. We have lunch at the restaurant and spend your time at the park. Optional activities: zip line, canopy walk, waterfall… (These activities are not included in tour cost), overnight at Nampien Yorapa resort in the park.
