The Ultimate 4-Day Bird Watching Adventure: Cuc Phuong & Xuan Thuy National Parks

Are you a dedicated bird watcher or a nature photographer seeking an immersive journey into Vietnam's most celebrated birding destinations? Our Cuc Phuong & Xuan Thuy National Park Bird Watching 4-Day Tour is meticulously crafted to deliver an unparalleled experience, combining the ancient limestone forests of Cuc Phuong with the vital coastal wetlands of Xuan Thuy. This comprehensive tour takes you deep into two of Vietnam’s most significant ecological hotspots, offering a unique opportunity to witness an incredible diversity of avian life.

The journey begins in Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam's oldest national park and a globally recognized biodiversity center. Here, you'll spend two days trekking through pristine primary rainforest, guided by our expert local ornithologists. The park is a paradise for forest birding, boasting over 336 species, including critically endangered and endemic birds. Keep your binoculars ready for sightings of the vibrant Bar-bellied Pitta, the elusive Silver Pheasant, the striking Red-collared Woodpecker, and many other spectacular forest dwellers. Our guides know the best trails and hidden spots to maximize your chances of spotting these beautiful creatures.

Following your adventure in Cuc Phuong, the tour transitions to the contrasting landscape of Xuan Thuy National Park, Vietnam's first Ramsar site. This coastal wetland is a crucial stopover for migratory birds and a haven for waterbirds. The change in habitat provides a completely different birding experience. You'll explore the vast tidal flats, mangroves, and salt marshes by boat, searching for species like the globally threatened Black-faced Spoonbill, the elegant Spoon-billed Sandpiper, and various other shorebirds, ducks, and waders. This unique combination of forest and wetland environments ensures a rich and varied bird list for your trip.

This 4-day Vietnam birding tour is designed for a seamless, hassle-free experience. We handle all logistics, including comfortable transportation, hand-picked accommodations, and delicious local meals. Our expert guides are not only knowledgeable about bird life but are also passionate conservationists who will enhance your understanding of Vietnam's natural heritage.
