Overview

Overview
Highlight of the trip: Sapa is a charming hamlet in the isolated Northwest Mountains of Vietnam. Sapa is well-known for its diverse range of cultures as well as its untamed landscape. Known for its breathtaking scenery, Sapa is a town in northwest Vietnam situated in the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, close to the Chinese border.
Sapa and its environs are home to numerous ethnic minorities, including the H'mong, Dzao, Tay, Giay, Muong, Thai, Hoa, and Xa Pho. The two most noticeable groups in town are the Black H'mong, who are recognizable by their somewhat less beautifully embroidered royal blue clothes, and the Red Dzao, who are clearly recognized by their coin-dangling red headdresses and intricately embroidered waistcoats worn by the women.

Sapa is a must-visit location even with its current commercialization. Located in the shadow of the Tonkin Alps, close to the Chinese border, Sapa was constructed as a French hill station with the intention of evading the summer heat. Weekends remain the main attraction in this busy little town these days. From the capital, tourists travel to Sapa to see the renowned "Love Market" on Saturday nights, hike to the villages of the native hill tribes, or climb Mount Fansipan, Vietnam's highest peak.

Reaching a maximum elevation of 3,143 meters, Fansipan Mountain has emerged as the most demanding location for experienced hikers visiting Vietnam. There are numerous choices and paths that lead to the summit.
The finest seasons to visit Sapa are in the spring and fall, when the gold rice is ready to be harvested and creates an incredible sight that is unimaginable. While winter temperatures can drop below freezing, early summer is typically wet and muddy.
The amazing beauty is practically obscured by clouds and rain, so the weather truly does affect everything. The famed Sapa mist does, however, provide for some amazing shots.

Day 2: Hanoi Noi City tour – Night Train to Lao Cai
You will begin your tour of the Ho Chi Minh complex with a visit to the President's Mausoleum after breakfast. You proceed to his modest "house on stilts," where you can also see the One-Pillar Pagoda from the eleventh century and the outside of the French colonial Presidential Palace. A visit to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university founded in the eleventh century, comes next. The Museum of Ethnology is the next stop, and it provides a great overview of the various ethnic groups in the nation as well as their traditions and manner of life. The big, lovely outdoor area with authentic buildings and compounds as built and used by the many distinct ethnic groups is the main attraction here. After that, take a drive to Hanoi Center and stroll through the bustling Old Quarter. Since King Ly Thai To erected his palace here in the eleventh century, Hanoi's vibrant center has served as a commercial hub. The renowned "36 Streets" saw the formation of artisan guilds and the migration of skilled craftspeople. In the past, every street was named after the product that was made and sold there; many of these names remain today. If you want to really experience Hanoi, you have to visit this location, which combines shopping with historical and cultural attractions. After transferring to the train station to join your overnight train to Lao Cai, you have the remainder of the day to yourself. Train overnight.Note: Due to annual maintenance, Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum is only available in the mornings and is closed on Mondays, Fridays, and the entire months of September and October. The afternoons of Monday and Friday are closed for Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts. Except for the Museum of Vietnam Women and the Museum of Vietnam Fine Arts, the majority of Hanoi's museums are closed on Mondays.Summary:Activities: Fullday  visiting Hanoi sightseeing and landmarksAccommodation: on Night TrainMeals:B/L/DTrekking distance: No
