Son Dong Bac Giang, best trekking base of Bac Giang province is located in the north east of Bac Giang city, about 80km from Bac Giang city center. This is the only place in Bac Giang province where we provide the 2 day hike, 3 day trekking tour from Hanoi which can be combined with Halong bay cruise.
Khe Ro forest is the best place for jungle trekking in Son Dong, Bac Giang. Khe Ro primitive forest is situated in An Lac commune, Son Dong district. The forest covers 7,153ha land including 5,092ha natural forest with the diverse ecosystem. This is a typical primitive forest of Vietnam Northeast region.
The landscape of Khe Ro is fascinating with bushy canopies, springs, falls, rocky rapids, especially pure blue lakes inside the forest where people can freely swim and take a bath.
The majority of local residents belong to Tay ethnic group; others are the Dao, Chinese and Kinh people. Every day, they go to the forest gathering herbal medicine in the morning, in the afternoon they wash clothes and take a bath near the springs.
Khe Ro primitive forest has pure air and cool springs that are suitable for adventure trips, jungle treks, mountain climb, off the beaten path trip, and local life experience.
