A bus from Lang Son on the China-Vietnam border take 4-5 hours. There are also buses from the neighboring provinces in northern Vietnam. There are both night buses and day buses from Hanoi to Cao Bang town. Hanoi Cao Bang bus journey takes about 6-8 hours on road.
