DAY 1: Arrival in Hanoi

Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will be greeted and transferred to hotel.

Free at our leisure for rest of the day.

In the evening we will meet our guide again and go to a fine restaurant in town for our welcome dinner.

DAY 2: Hanoi - half day City tour
 Breakfast & Lunch
Our tour today starts after breakfast at the hotel, the destination will be Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum with Presidential Palace, One Pillar Pagoda, outside Ho Chi Minh Museum; the Temple of Literature.

Free at leisure in the afternoon for going shopping or going to one of the entertainment complexes such as Vincom Center, Trang Tien Plaza…

Coming back hotel.

Optional activities in the evening in Hanoi:

– Enjoy drinks at nearby café/ bar/ pub

– Wandering around Hanoi down town area (Weekend walking streets from Friday night until Sunday around Hoan Kiem Lake and Old Quarter area)

– Take an evening motorbike/ scooter/ walking tour

DAY 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay
 Breakfast & Lunch & Dinner
Am: Be picked up at your hotel from 8h00 for 3.5 hours car ride through the country side of the Red River Delta to Ha Long City.

Upon arrival, aboard Halong Phoenix Cruiser, fresh seafood lunch (vegetable menu available) would be served while the boat is creeping out.

Pm: A short tender ride from your boat in the middle of the bay to an island for the famous Surprising (Sung Sot) Cave, followed by another island visit (Titop Island) and swimming on its sandy beach.

As the sun sets over the anchorage area, it is your own time to lean back on our well designed deck with your favorite drink.

Dinner will be served with typically local seafood.

Overnight on boat.

DAY 4: Halong Bay - Cat Ba Island by traveling boat
 Breakfast & Lunch & Dinner
Am: Morning breath taking in the serene Heritage Site then breakfast before leaving Halong Phoenix Cruiser for an active day on another site of the bay.

A local support boat will take us to a sleepy water area of Cat Ba National Park, where you grab the paddle and make your own strokes to discover parts of Lan Ha Bay.

It is your time to go exploring labyrinth of limestone cliffs that rise out of the sea, paddle through floating houses and deserted lagoons and wild sandy beaches from our sleek ocean kayaks.

Pm: Lunch (BBQ lunch on beach is at tidal permission) on boat, relax and swim from your own private beach.

More kayaking to other parts of the bay, by now you are pro kayakers, seeing other amazing limestone karts formations from the water up close and personal, in ways many people can only imagine!

When you get tired, leave your kayaks behind to take a transfer boat to Cat Ba Island.

We then drive you to Cat Ba Eco Lodge, an ideal jungle lodge that compliments the local culture, perfectly in tune with the surrounding environment.

DAY 5: Cat Ba - Hanoi
 Breakfast & Lunch
Am: After your breakfast, options arise to: Relax and do some reading at the lodge Stick to our original itinerary: be guided to hike Cat Ba National Park (2 hours hiking) after a short bus ride from the lodge.

Physical reward and magnificent view!

Pm: We take a hydrofoil boat ride from Cai Vieng Pier to Hai Phong City, and then 2 more hours drive back to Hanoi.

Trip ends at your hotel around 17h00.

DAY 6: Hanoi - Free day - Night train to Hue at 19:00
 Breakfast
Free day at leisure whole day, at 18.00 you are picked up to Railway Station for night train to Hue depart at 19:00, the Formal Capital of Vietnam.

Your family will stay at a private cabin (4 soft sleeper bed cabin with air conditioner).

DAY 7: Hue - Boat trip in the afternoon
 Breakfast & Lunch
Our local guide will welcome us at Hue Railway Station in morning when train arrives.

Transfer to hotel, check in hotel and relax.

After lunch we take a Dragon boat along Perfume River to visit the famous Thien Mu Pagoda (Heaven Lady Pagoda), one of the Nguyen King’s Tomb (Majestic Tu Duc King’s Tomb) and back to city in the late afternoon.

DAY 8: Hue - City tour and transfer to Hoi An
 Breakfast & Lunch
The Nguyen dynasty ruled Vietnam from 1802 until 1945 and several of its most prominent Emperors are buried in the surrounding countryside.

This morning, we will have a tour around this fabulous city.

A visit to Hue would not be complete without taking in attractions such as the Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City.

After lunch we transfer to Hoi An, along the way though we will first stop at Lang Co beach, for coffee and refreshments, then onto the Hai Van pass, stopping at the top to take in the stunning views north over Lang Co beach and south over Danang city.

Arriving in Hoi An we check into our hotel before spending the rest of the afternoon exploring and shopping.

DAY 9: Hoi An - Free day

Hoi An is a charming, small town which can be easily explored on foot.

Between the 17th and 19th centuries the town was a thriving international trading port with a large Chinese and Japanese population.

We can spend our time walking around the historic town soaking up the atmosphere, exploring the many Chinese assembly halls and fascinating ancestral homes.

The town is also famous for its shops, in particular it’s large number of tailors.

We also have the option of taking a day trip to My Son, about 1 1/2 hours away.

My Son is another UNESCO world heritage-listed site. Here, in a secluded valley, the Cham built over 70 impressive Hindu-style temples, many over a thousand years old.

DAY 10: Hoi An - fly to Ho Chi Minh City
 Breakfast
This afternoon we transfer back to Danang city for a short domestic flight to Ho Chi Minh city (Saigon).

Up on arrival in Saigon we transfer to hotel. Relaxing in the rest of the day.

DAY 11: Ho Chi Minh City tour and Cu Chi tunnel
 Breakfast & Lunch
In the morning we will transfer to the highlights of the biggest city in Vietnam.

The first destination is the Reunification Palace where Vietnam Liberation Army got Victory from the American War in 1975.

The second place is the War Remnant Museum.

This is a place that we can see countless of artifacts, photographs and pictures documenting American war crimes.

The Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post office and Ben Thanh market are the last places we will visit before transferring to the restaurant for lunch.

In the afternoon, we will leave Saigon for the Cu Chi tunnels, otherwise known as the “Iron Triangle” or “Iron Land”.

On our way there, we will drive through pleasant countryside, rubber plantations and rice paddies.

Before entering the tunnels, we will see a short, introductory video showing how they were constructed, followed by an exploration of the maze of tunnels, some of which have been widened to allow tourist access.

Also on display are various man traps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500lb bombs dropped by B52 bombers.

We are back to hotel at around 18:00.

– Wandering around night walking street area (Bui Vien, De Tham streets)

– Take an evening motorbike or scooter tour

DAY 12: Ho Chi Minh City - My Tho - Can Tho
 Breakfast & Lunch
8:00 pick up at your hotel after breakfast to transfer by car to My Tho where you will travel in a motorized boat along the Bao Dinh canal lined with stilt houses and fruit plantations.

Visit the My Tho wholesale fruit market and Turtle Island and eat lunch served in the heart of an orchard.

Enjoy the continuing boat ride through the Tan Trach canal in Ben Tre, cruise under the shadow of the water coconut trees, and visit family businesses to experience a taste of the agricultural lifestyle.

Trek through the fruit plantations on Thoi Son island and row among the numerous creeks before returning to My Tho by rowboat.

Transfer to Can Tho and check in to your hotel on arrival.

DAY 13: Cai Rang Floating market - Ho Chi Minh City
 Breakfast & Lunch
After breakfast, take a boat trip at 8:00am to see the famous Cai Rang floating market bustling with activity in the morning hours.

Cruise through the intricate system of small channels, visit a village that specializes in making rice noodles and see the delicate “monkey bridges” of the Mekong Delta.

Visit a second floating market at Cai Rang then break for lunch.

Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City, stopping to visit the bonsai garden in My Tho along the way.

Arrive back in Ho Chi Minh City around 17:30 for a free evening to relax, have dinner, or go shopping.

DAY 14: Saigon - Departure
 Breakfast
We are free at our leisure for our final day in Ho Chi Minh before the departure flight to home.
