Description
Vietnam Bike Trip 3 Days is designed for you to discover all the major highlights of Ninh Binh: Hoa Lu ancient capital, Tam Coc, dubbed as “Halong Bay in land”, and Phat Diem Cathedral. We run this trip with several options: fully guided bike tour, semi-supported and self-guided bike tour.
Day 1: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc (-/L/D).
8:00 AM: Our team will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi. Depart for Ninh Binh. Enjoy beautiful landscape of the Red River Delta and firstly visit Hoa Lu old capital (968-1009) with two temples of two Kings. After visiting these temples, start cycling to Tam Coc past rice fields and rural villages. Arrival in Tam Coc around noon, in time for lunch, provided in a local restaurant. After lunch, take a boat trip to see Tam Coc that means ”three lakes” and is called ” Halong Bay on land ”, really amazing with the rocky mountains, and you will be completely dazzle when paddling through the green paddy fields on two sides of the lakes and more interesting to go through three caves. It takes about 2 hours to discover the beauty of the nature here before getting off boat to visit an old temple. Overnight in Tam Coc at hotel.
Day 2: Tam Coc – Phat Diem Cathedral – Cuc Phuong National Park (B/L/D)
Phat Diem Cathedral is the centre for Vietnamese Catholicism. This is one of the 30 churches in the area built by French Jesuits. The cathedral blends Chinese with Western styles in its solid grey stone and wood architecture. Its peaceful gardens and magnificent bell towers attract thousands of Vietnamese Catholics from surrounding dioceses. A 20km bicycle ride will take you through striking rural scenery where you will see rural churches of grand proportions and a rare Japanese covered bridge. The streets of Phat Diem are worth exploring for their numerous sewing shops, a great local market and the majestic Catholic Cathedral, which illuminates the surrounding streets. Visit the Cathedral, and then get on your minibus for a 2-hour drive to Cuc Phuong National Park. Dinner and overnight in Cuc Phuong National Park at the park’s guesthouse.
Day 3: Cuc Phuong National Park – Hanoi (B/L/-)
This morning you will discover such sites as the “Cave of Prehistoric Man” where locals still pay homage to prehistoric artifacts that have been found in the cave, the Endangered Rescue Primate Centre. Inside reside 15 of Vietnam’s 25 species of primates including the extremely rare Cat Ba Langur. After lunch, travel back to Hanoi. Trip ends.
