The Museum was opened on September 2, 1990, to commemorate the revered President's 100th birthday. It spans five large floors. The well-known One Pillar Pagoda is nearby and merits a cursory glance. The building, which King Ly Thai To erected in 1049, has come to represent essential aspects of Hanoi culture.
