Hanoi: The Heartbeat of Vietnam's Heritage

Your Northern Vietnam trip commences in Hanoi, the thousand-year-old capital, a city where ancient traditions seamlessly blend with modern life. Spend your initial days soaking in its unique atmosphere. Wander through the labyrinthine streets of the Old Quarter, a bustling maze where each lane traditionally specialized in a different trade, and colonial-era architecture offers glimpses into a bygone era. Discover significant landmarks such as the serene Hoan Kiem Lake, the revered Temple of Literature, and the solemn Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Engage your senses with a traditional cyclo ride, allowing you to absorb the sights and sounds at a leisurely pace. Delve into the city's renowned culinary scene on a dedicated Hanoi food tour, savoring exquisite local delicacies from pho to egg coffee. Conclude your Hanoi exploration with a mesmerising traditional water puppet show, a unique art form that beautifully encapsulates Vietnamese folklore. Hanoi serves as the perfect, vibrant introduction, setting the tone for the rich tapestry of experiences that lie ahead.

Halong Bay & Lan Ha Bay: A Mystical Cruise Through Paradise

No Northern Vietnam trip 9 days is complete without experiencing the legendary Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned globally for its emerald waters and thousands of towering limestone karsts. To enhance your experience, our itinerary often includes a cruise through the less-crowded and equally stunning Lan Ha Bay, located adjacent to Halong, offering a more tranquil and intimate exploration. Here, you'll embark on an overnight luxury cruise, navigating through a labyrinth of dramatic islands, hidden lagoons, and floating fishing villages.

Imagine the serene experience of kayaking Halong Bay in secluded coves, swimming in the pristine waters, and exploring magnificent natural caves that dot the bay. As the day ends, witness breathtaking sunsets that paint the sky in fiery hues over the mystical seascape, followed by a delectable fresh seafood dinner onboard. The morning offers another opportunity to marvel at the bay's beauty as the sun rises, casting a golden glow over the limestone formations. This immersive Halong Bay cruise segment provides ample opportunities for relaxation, reflection, and capturing stunning photographs of one of the world's most iconic natural wonders.

Sapa: Trekking Through Emerald Terraces and Authentic Hill Tribe Culture

From the tranquil bays, your journey transitions to the majestic mountains of Sapa, a highlight for adventurers and cultural enthusiasts and a cornerstone of any comprehensive Northern Vietnam trip. This region is famous worldwide for its breathtaking, cascading rice terraces that carve intricate patterns into steep mountainsides, creating a landscape of unparalleled beauty often referred to as the "Tonkinese Alps."

You'll embark on invigorating Sapa trekking adventures through picturesque valleys like Muong Hoa, immersing yourself in the verdant scenery and breathing in the crisp mountain air. The true essence of Sapa lies in its vibrant ethnic minority communities. You'll have the unique opportunity to engage with diverse hill tribe villages such as the Hmong, Red Dao, Tay, and Zay people.
