Day 1: Arrival in Yangon (D)
Welcome upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, we will transfer to the hotel in Yangon. This evening, we will enjoy a Welcome dinner in Karaweik Palace, overlooking the Royal Lake and Shwedagon tower with fine Burmese food and an amazing cultural show. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 2: Yangon city tour (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, we continue our guided city tour exploring the former capital Yangon and its highlights. We visit the famous Sule Pagoda, in the heart of Yangon, Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, and Kandawgyi Lake.

Discover the most outstanding pagoda in Yangon, Shwedagon Pagoda. This golden pagoda is really a must-see while you are in Myanmar. Finally, finish up our day with free time for shopping at Scott Market (closed on Monday). Overnight in Yangon.

Day 3: Yangon – Kyaikhtiyo (B)

In the morning, leave Yangon behind and enjoy a scenic journey to Kyaiktiyo, 190km to the east. One of Myanmar’s great pilgrimage sites is the Golden Rock at Kyaiktiyo, a huge boulder covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. The pagoda at the Golden Rock is said to hold a hair of the Buddha.

Late morning, we arrive at Kyaikhtiyo base camp and transfer to the transit junction with one of the small open trucks in a one-hour ride. After lunchtime, we start an easy walk up to the Golden Rock and enjoy the sunset from this unforgettable site. We spend the night in a hotel in Kyaikhtiyo.

Day 4: Kyaikhtiyo – Taungoo (B)
After breakfast and coffee in the morning, we return to the base camp by open truck and head in the direction of Taungoo for 220km (Approx. 4 hours). Taungoo is the capital of the second Myanmar dynasty of the 15th century however little evidence is left to be seen. The rest of the day will be free. Overnight in Taungoo.
Day 5: Taungoo – Kalaw (B)
After breakfast, we will take an approximate 8-hour drive to Kalaw passing through the mainland observing the dry zone of Myanmar as well as twisting and turning hilly drive through the Shan plateau. Kalaw is a former British hill station town, with cool, spring-like weather, pine forests, tea plantations, and colorfully clad hill tribes that make this town a natural magnet. Overnight in Kalaw.
Day 6: Kalaw – Pindaya – Inle Lake (B)

On this day tour, we leave Kalaw via coach, for Pindaya. We take a nice drive through the picturesque countryside of the Shan State. Visit Pindaya’s limestone cave with its maze of chambers displaying more than 8,000 Buddha statues. We will also see local handicraft workshops producing Shan paper made from mulberry bark and traditional umbrellas made from the same paper that is used by monks all around the country.

In the late afternoon, we transfer to NyaungShwe Jetty and take the boat to our resort for check-in. Overnight in a hotel in Inle Lake.

Day 7: Inle Lake Discovery (B)

Inle Lake, the second largest lake in Myanmar, is located 900 meters above sea level and is home to the Intha people, known for their unique one leg-rowing technique. Upon arrival, we board a motorboat for a sightseeing tour to Phaungdawoo Pagoda, famed for its richly gilded five small Buddha images and is believed to be the holiest in Inle Lake.

Our next visit on this day tour is “Jumping Cat Pagoda” Ngaphechaung Monastery. As you travel further toward Nam Pan village, cotton, lotus weaving factories, and cigar-making houses will impress you with a sense of traditional Intha life. Overnight in Inle Lake.

Day 8: Inle Lake – Indein – Mandalay (B)

This morning, we will visit the unique 5-Day Market that is held in different villages surrounding the lake is our next attraction. This is absolutely a magnificent place to enjoy the scene of local tribes in their colorful clothes and experience an exotic market atmosphere.

After lunchtime, the boat will take us to the beautiful temple of Indein, located on the hill overlooking the lake. It will be definitely relaxing to walk along the corridor and enjoy the giant columns that have been left to nature for centuries. In the late afternoon, we take a flight to Mandalay. On arrival, we will be welcomed and transferred to the hotel for overnight accommodation.

Day 9: Mandalay – Sagaing – Amarapura (B)

Being famous as the Buddhist center in Myanmar, Mandalay is a realm of stupas, monks, and monasteries. The most fascinating visit will be the time to behold the monks doing their worship and having meals. In the morning, we transfer from the city to Sagaing Hill and discover the monk education, visit Budda Cave, Umin Thonze Pagoda, and Sunooponnyashin Pagoda. Behold the panoramic view of Mandalay.

After that, we continue our trip with our next visit to Amarapura. We will take a walk over U Bein Wooden Bridge, the longest teakwood bridge in Myanmar. To fulfill your experience here, don’t miss your chance to take a breathtaking boat trip to sail around the serene lake and enjoy the tranquil ambiance while saving the best photos of the day. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 10: Mandalay – Mingun – Mandalay Hill (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Mandalay pier, embarking on a private boat upstream to visit Mingun, famed for its huge and incomplete Phatodawgyi Pagoda and Mingun Bell – the 90 tons ringing bell.

In the afternoon, our next visit is Mandalay Palace, Shwenandaw Monastery – noted for its exquisite wood carvings, gold leaf beating workshop, Kuthodaw Pagoda – known as the world’s biggest book and finish the tour by visiting Mandalay Hill to watch the sun-set and the panoramic view of the city. We spend the night in Mandalay.

Day 11: Mandalay – Day boat to Bagan (B)
Early in this morning, our car will transfer us to the jetty for the daily boat along the Irrawaddy River from Mandalay to Bagan – Myanmar’s archaeological wonderland, where over 3,000 ancient temples blossom from the countryside. Arrive in Bagan in the late afternoon between 15:00 and 17:00 depending on the water level, we will be picked up from the jetty and transferred to the hotel in Bagan for check-in. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 12: Bagan sightseeing (B)

We will start our day with a visit to the bustling Nyaung U Market in Old Bagan then explore the beautiful gold leaf Shwezigon Pagoda and learn about Burmese Buddhist traditions. We continue our tour with a visit to Ananda Temple, stopping along the way on the Bagan plains to admire some of the surrounding temples.

In the afternoon, take a tour of a local lacquerware workshop and learn how this traditional piece of art is made. End of the day, transfer to the sunset hill to observe the magical moment of the day while the sun slowly immerses everything in golden light. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 13: Bagan – Mt. Popa (B)
Leaving the ancient Bagan temples behind, we begin the drive to Mt Popa. Now it’s time to join in pilgrims as they ascend Mt. Popa and admire the crazy statues that line the walkway, along with the monkeys that live on the mountain. Once at the peak, guests can relax and bask in the glorious views of Bagan. In the afternoon, we will drive back to Bagan for overnight accommodation.
Day 14: Bagan – Drive to Pyay (B)

After breakfast, we will travel by car to Pyay about 350km – 6 hours drive. Today, we will visit the ShweMyetHman Pagoda (the Buddha Image with a pair of golden spectacles) at ShweDaung; the ShweSandaw Pagoda in Pyay and near Hmawza is the Thayaykhittaya (10 km out of Pyay), the scattered ruins of ancient Pyu capital, roughly circular in the form (area 14 sq km).

Near the center are the rectangular foundations of the palace walls. Outside the city, walls are four pagodas (Baw BawGyi; PhayaGyi; Phaya Ma and Be BeGyi which were built around the 5th century A.D). Overnight in a hotel in Pyay.

Day 15: Pyay – Drive to Yangon (B)
After breakfast, we take a 6-hour drive to Yangon. After discovering the local life at the busy river port, we check in our hotel in Yangon and have the rest of the day free at leisure. We spend the night in Yangon.
Day 16: Yangon Departure (B)
Free time until our car arrives to take us to Yangon International Airport for our flight home. Tour ends.
