The journey kicks off from Sapa on Day 1 with a comfortable car transfer uphill to the legendary Tram Ton Pass, also known as Heaven Gate. Here, you'll witness magnificent panoramic views of Mount Fansipan and the dramatic Silver Waterfall before beginning your exhilarating downhill bike ride towards Binh Lu in Lai Chau province. The afternoon cycling takes you on rustic dirt roads, leading to authentic ethnic villages such as Pa Pen (Lu minority) and Na Hum (Thai minority), nestled amidst picturesque rice paddy terraces and towering limestone mountains. The day culminates with an authentic overnight stay in a local Lu house in Ban Hon village, offering a genuine taste of rural Vietnamese life.

Day 2 promises a continued adventure as you cycle towards Tam Duong town on relatively flat terrains, passing through various charming villages. A highlight of the day is a visit to the vibrant Tam Duong local market, a melting pot where Flower Hmong, Black Dao, and Lu minorities gather, offering a fascinating insight into their daily lives and unique crafts. After lunch, the route becomes more challenging, leading you uphill along a tributary of the Na River, past intriguing gold exploration sites, and through more traditional Thai minority villages, before reaching Pa So for a well-deserved overnight stay at a local hotel by the riverbank.

On Day 3, your cycling expedition continues on a relatively flat yet adventurous bumpy road along the river, leading to a small Sino-Vietnamese border town, offering a glimpse into cross-border life. After returning to your hotel for lunch, you have the option to cycle back to Sapa, enjoying the final downhill stretches and the opportunity to witness a spectacular sunset from the mountain pass, or return by car, ensuring a comfortable journey back to Sapa in the late afternoon.

Golden Trail Travel, operating as Vietnam Cycling Tours, ensures a seamless and enriching experience with an English-speaking cycling guide (other languages available upon request), comfortable accommodations in small hotels, guesthouses, or homestays, and all meals as specified in the itinerary.
