Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau
At 7:30, depart. We travel to Luong Son by Southwest. Luong Son is the entry point to the breathtakingly beautiful mountainous region of northern Vietnam. We begin our journey there by riding a smooth asphalt road that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, valleys, rice paddies, and sugarcane fields. On the way, we would stop for relaxation and lunch at a nearby restaurant. Following lunch, we make a quick transfer to the foot of Thung Khe Pass and then resume our 34-kilometer ride along the Da River's bank. Along the way, you will see breathtaking scenery dotted with Muong and Thai villages under the shade of trees. You will also make an impression on young schoolboys and girls as well as buffalo, and a cowboy will greet you on the way back to their home. We stop for a quick snack or Kodak moment before making our way down to Mai Chau village. After riding to Lac village for tonight's homestay, we arrive at Mai Chau late in the afternoon. Day 2: Mai Chau - Sam khoe village – pom Coong
The breathtaking natural splendor of Mai Chau Valley, which is filled with Thai and Muong communities nestled amongst rice terrace paddies, is what the second day's bicycle tour has to offer. We leave early to bike from Homestay along the mixed single-track trails that connect the villages, as you can see. Mornings in the villages are so calm! Day 3: Mai Chau - Hang village to Don villages
You will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of the limestone mountains and magnificent terraced rice paddies after a strenuous day of climbing on a mixture of dirt routes and single track trails that lead to the summit in the morning. After making a pit stop for refreshments atop the mountain, we descend to Co Luong Market for lunch. We take a leisurely ride around Don village after lunch on a combination of paved roads, buffalo trails, and bamboo forest shade. After arriving, we enjoy cold beers and soft beverages while taking a shower. Day 4: Pu Luong exploring
Following breakfast, we get on our bikes and ride the picturesque path surrounding Pu Luong, passing through towns and verdant rice farms while mingling with the amiable locals. You will cycle reach the dirt road by riding upward on the village way. Although the road is in poor condition, this section provides stunning views of the valley's terraced rice fields and Thai villages. Riding the single track downwards, you arrive in Ban Lanh, where the villagers still make traditional cloth by weaving. We proceed to Pho Doan via a single track path that passes by breathtaking green tea and rice paddies.If we get in Pho Doan Village at the appropriate time on Sunday, we stop to see the local market. We continue riding down the river's sloping path, taking in the breathtaking scenery on both sides of the nature reserve as we approach Nua Village. lunch at the village of Nua. We return to Pu Luong Retreat after lunch and continue to tour the hamlet. You can rest and unwind for the remainder of the day. Day 5: Nua Village – Pho Doan – Cam Luong – Cuc Phuong
After breakfast with the host, we bid them farewell and set out early to ride the back roads to Pho Doan, the township of Pu Luong Natural Reserve. If we're lucky, we might be able to stop and snap pictures at the vibrant tribal market before crossing the bridge. We then ride along the Nature Reserver's corridor path, passing through cornfields and sugarcane fields punctuated with the villages of the Thai and Muong Tribes, leading to Cam Luong, where we are rewarded with breathtaking scenery and the opportunity to interact with the welcoming locals. At midday, we arrive at the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Lunch at a neighborhood eatery in Kim Tan Town, We ride 45 km more after lunch on a combination of smooth single track and rolling trails. The views are breathtaking as the rider goes by communities, rice paddies, sugarcane, and cassava plantations. After arriving in the late afternoon in Cuc Phuong National Park, settle in and relax until dinnertime. Day 6: Cuc Phuong National Park – Trang An – Tam Coc
Our minibus transports us into the heart of the forest after breakfast. We will bike through primitive rainforest and along canopied forest trails from the park's core, taking us all the way to the national park's gate without any tourists. We visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center after stopping for refreshments. The bicycle tour continues to Dong Giao, a pineapple plantation where you may purchase fresh pineapple on the side roads from nearby farmers. After leaving the plantation, we travel to Tam Diep Township and then to Tam Coc for lunch. Following lunch, we go to Trang An Heritage Site over breathtaking limestone mountains that rise magnificently from the verdant rice paddies and streams. Once there, we can unwind or explore the area to see a variety of species.
