Description
Northern Vietnam Bike Loop 6 Days travels northwest region of Vietnam. This cycling adventure offers the opportunity to conquer several mountain passes such as Khau Pha’s or Tram Ton’s. You will discover beautiful mountain landscapes, hill tribe villages, and experience the rich ethnic culture.

Day 1: Hanoi – Nghia Lo.
Today is the first day of this Northern Vietnam Bike Loop 6 Days. Before starting our adventure, we will have a short briefing to know about the tour as well as practical information about cycling in Vietnam. If you arrive Hanoi days in advance we recommend the briefing to be organized one day in advance at our garage. We will be transferred by car to Phu Tho where we will get the bikes out of the van, and begin our bike ride. This is, in fact, an easy bike ride, mostly on sealed roads. You cycle through rural areas with beautiful rice field along the road. Arrival in Nghia Lo, we check into a local hotel for overnight.

Day 2: Nghia Lo – Than Uyen.
Exploring the local market in Nghia Lo is a good chance to shop for local handicrafts. Today’s ride is along an exciting stretch of road which climbs over the mountain pass to Mu Cang Chai past H’mong, La Ha and Dzao hill tribe communities. From the top, we have one of the most beautiful views of Northern Vietnam. At the bottom of the valley is the town of Than Uyen. Overnight in a hotel or guest house.

Day 3: Than Uyen – Sapa.
The road follows the Hoang Lien Son Mountain Range and winds through tea plantations and rice terraces as it hugs the Nam Ma River. This stunning valley is dotted with Tay, Dzao and H’mong hill tribe villages. Over the 1,900 meter Tram Ton Pass to Sa Pa located in the breathtaking Hoang Lien Son Mountains. Arrive Sapa in the afternoon. Check in hotel. Free time. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Sapa – Bac Ha.
After having breakfast, we will start cycling downhill to Lao Cai town and also on good flat road leading towards Bac Ngam. We pass by peaceful countryside of the Red River valley. Villages and rice fields are all along the way. We arrive in Bac Ngam by noon, where we stop for a picnic lunch. In the afternoon, we will keep cycling uphill to Bac Ha town. We will check in a hotel in the late afternoon, where we will stay for the next two nights. A cold drink, a shower and a tasteful dinner will complete this day, and make it one to remember.

Day 5: Bac Ha – Luc Yen.
Sunday market in the morning if it’s the correct timing. Then easy cycle to Luc Yen. The landscapes are very varied, always skirting the border to finish in triumph in the valley of the palm trees of Luc Yen, at the Dao and Tay. Homestay in our friendly Tay village.

Day 6: Luc Yen – Hanoi.
After breakfast we will take the van to travel back to Hanoi. Northern Vietnam Bike Loop 6 Days is completed
