Selamat Malaysia!

Kuching

Kuching (named after a stream called Kuching River (Sungai Kuching) flowing between the current Tua Pek Kong Temple, and the China History Museum) is a very special city because it is symbolized by the cat (Kuching in Malay), with irresistible and exciting galleries, and parks, nature reserves, the capital of Sarawak. Located on the banks of the Sarawak River in northwestern Borneo, the city is connected to other cities via sea transport and the sampan ride is a must for a trip to Kuching.

Moreover, the asset of this city is its rich cultural identity, it shelters 15% of indigenous populations, iban and bidayuh, which you will be able to meet during a visit of their longhouses. Offering an interesting testimony of the meeting of indigenous, Malay and Chinese cultures, Kuching is rich in possible visits: its teeming market, its temples and mosques, and of course the inescapable museum of Sarawak.
