The moment the tank crashed through the front gate carrying the North Vietnamese flag marked a turning point in Vietnam’s history and changed the country’s path forever. Our next destination is The Venerable Thich Quang Duc Monument – 3rd war site honoring Thich Quang Duc – a Vietnamese Mahayana Buddhist monk who burned himself to death to anti the war. The park is located at the place Thich Quang Duc burned himself (70-72 Cach Mang Thang Tam street, District 3).  Come to the park, students can see a statue of Thich Quang Duc, which is sitting calmly in the lotus position and his face unflinching despite the fire is burning.
