Day 01; Hanoi Arrival
Greetings from Vietnam. When you arrive at Noi Bai International Airport, a driver and guide from Golden Trail Travel will meet you and take you to the hotel located in the center of Hanoi. Hanoi, the historic and vibrant capital of Vietnam, is home to some of Asia's most remarkable colonial buildings as well as a distinct old world charm. Following check-in, unwind on your own while discussing the schedule for the next few days with our guide. Take a cyclo ride through the Old Quarter's busy streets to explore Hanoi's blend of modern and historical charm. Day 2: Hanoi – Mai Chau 
We take a bus to drive Southwest in Luong Son after leaving the busy city behind and thoroughly recharging in the hotel. Luong Son is the entry point to the breathtakingly beautiful mountainous region of northern Vietnam. We begin our journey there by riding a smooth asphalt road that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, valleys, rice paddies, and sugarcane fields. On the way, we would stop for relaxation and lunch at a nearby restaurant. Following lunch, we make a quick transfer to the foot of Thung Khe Pass before beginning our 34-kilometer ride along the Da River's bank. Along the way, you will see breathtaking scenery dotted with Muong and Thai villages under the shade of trees. You will also make an impression on young schoolchildren and buffalor, who will say "Hello" to you as you return home. We stop for a quick snack or Kodak moment before making our way down to Mai Chau village. After riding to Lac village for tonight's homestay, we arrive at Mai Chau late in the afternoon. Having dinner with authentic Thai cuisine, taking a shower, and seeing a Thai dance performance.

Day 3: Mai Chau –Pu Luong Retreat
Embracing the breathtaking natural splendor of Mai Chau Valley while riding through Thai and Muong communities nestled amongst rice terraces. We leave early to cycle from Homestay along the mixed single-track pathways that connect the towns; in the morning, the villages are quite quiet! And how did they manage to live here for a century? As we ride through the heart of the villages and stop to chat with some of the locals, you can discover the solution.
Before traveling the back road to Hang Village, we stop for lunch in Sam Khoe Village. We go through the Pu Luong Nature Reserve in an ascending manner, stopping to take in the breath-taking landscape, limestone outcrops, and panoramic views of Pu Luong. After arriving, we enjoy cold beers and soft beverages while taking a shower. Eat dinner and spend the night in Pu Luong.

Day 4; Pu Luong Exploring
Following a full energy recharge for the next adventure day, we will set off on foot via the village walk, heading uphill to the dirt road. Although the road is in poor condition, this section provides stunning views of the valley's terraced rice fields and Thai villages. You ride the single track downhill to Pho Doan. You will continue pedaling along a mixture of pavement and dirt trails through Thai villages and across rice terraces after lunch, which is served at a local restaurant in town. Despite the trip seems level, the bicycle progressively moves upstream along a river. After arriving in Canh Nang town, your support vehicle will pick you up and take you back to the Pu Luong Retreat. You have the rest of the day to yourself!

Day 5: Pu Luong – Cuc Phuong
After a filling breakfast, we depart early from Retreat to ride the back roads to Pho Doan, the township of Pu Luong Natural Reserve. If we're lucky, we might be able to stop and take pictures at the vibrant tribal market before crossing the bridge. We then ride the Nature Reserver corridor path through sugarcane fields and corn farms that are interspersed with the villages of the Thai and Muong Tribes, leading to Cam Luong, where we are rewarded with breathtaking scenery and the company of amiable locals. At midday, we arrive at the Ho Chi Minh Trail. lunch in a neighborhood eatery in Kim Tan Town, We ride 45 km more after lunch on a combination of smooth single track and rolling trails. After arriving in the late afternoon in Cuc Phuong National Park, settle in and relax until dinnertime.

Day 6: Cuc Phuong – Tam Coc
Our minibus transports us into the heart of the forest after breakfast. We will pedal from the park's center via paths shaded by trees and through a primitive rainforest, taking us all the way to the national park's gate without any tourists. We visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center after stopping for refreshments. The bicycle tour continues to Dong Giao, a pineapple plantation where you may purchase fresh pineapple on the side roads from nearby farmers. We ride out of the plantation to Tam Diep Township and then make our lunch transfer to Tam Coc. After lunch, we go to the Bich Dong Nature Reserve over breathtaking limestone mountains that rise magnificently from verdant rice farms and streams. When we first arrive, we unwind or explore the area to see various birds. Dinner and a hotel stay for the night.

Day 7; Tam Coc – Halong Bay
Head out of Ninh Binh into Halong Bay, one of the world's most breathtaking picturesque regions. This enormous bay, which spans 577 square miles, is home to nearly 3,000 limestone "peaks," or karsts, that protrude as far as the eye can see from the rich blue ocean. We'll spend a day and a half seeing this vast seascape from the decks of a traditional Vietnamese boat, which includes an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast onboard. Your boat's handcrafted wooden interiors, which include a dining area and cozy air-conditioned bedrooms with private bathrooms, make it cozy and intimate. Day 8: Halong – Transfer – Noi Bai Airport
On board, the day begins early with a Tai Chi class on the sundeck. Slow, soft motions are combined with deep breathing and relaxation in tai chi, also known as tai chi chuan.
Breakfast is served in the dining area, which has a view of the bay in the morning, along with coffee, tea, and pastries.
Transport to Sung Sot Cave by tender. To reach the cave entrance, climb around 100 steps. A visit to a cave takes about forty-five minutes. Explore Sung Sot Cave, one of Halong Bay's largest caves with stunning stalactites and stalagmites. Take a tender back to the boat. Appropriate footwear is strongly advised.
Return to Halong Bay Cruise. At reception, check out and pay for your purchase. Savor a brunch buffet as you return by boat to Tuan Chau Wharf. strolling toward the wharf while unwinding on the sundeck or while taking in the view of the bay from the dining room. Arrive to Tuan Chau Wharf by boat. Bid farewell to the crew. Reuniting with our driver to take you to the Noi Bai Airport for your evening flight to Hue via Vietnam... arriving late at night in Hue. Day 9: Hue –City Tours
After breakfast, you'll service the bike and ride leizurely to discover the architecture of the Imperial Citadel, the Royal Tomb, and Hue City.
One of Vietnam's principal hubs for culture, religion, and education is Hue. Hue is currently the only historically significant city in Vietnam still standing. The 11km-long Perfume River, which goes by the romantic moniker of "Perfume," is home to many of Hue's attractions. More than a hundred architectural pieces, reflecting the lives of emperors and mandarins under Nguyen's rule, are included in this priceless masterpiece. We also take a ride to see the ancient kings' graves. The exquisite graves of the Nguyen Kings are located on the southern bank of the Perfume River, nestled between the hills. These include the four well-known tombs, each of whose name and layout reflects the opinions, characteristics, and preferences of the respective Emperor. These are the spectacular Khai Dinh tomb, the massive Minh Mang tomb, the poetic Tu Duc tomb, and the grand Gia Long tomb. Hue's ancient citadel remnants are too important to overlook for any architect interested in learning about Vietnam's ancient architecture. In the late afternoon, we return by bicycle to the hotel and are free until dinnertime. After dinner at a nearby restaurant, spend the night in a hotel.

Day 10: Hue – Lang Co Beach
We begin the day with a leisurely breakfast at the hotel before riding to the Thanh Toan covered roof bridge. Along the way, you'll be treated to stunning views of both imperial cities and rural villages. The typical view of community housing, local marketplaces, and traditional Vietnamese homes will pique your attention. You stand a strong probability of interacting with amiable individuals. When you arrive in Thanh Toan Village, take some time to explore and snap pictures of the amazing covered roof bridge, which was constructed in 1776 by a generous-hearted woman. Our bicycle tours proceed by passing through bucolic towns, a lagoon, and Thuan An Beach. Day 11: Lang Co Beach – Hai Van Pass – Da Nang – Hoi An
We have a full day ahead of us filled with energy and water before taking on the spectacular Hai Van Pass. Commence riding from the hotel, bear left onto Highway No. 1, and ascend 13 km to the summit. You will be rewarded with beautiful landscapes, clouds, and the ocean along the way. Enjoy breathtaking views of Da Nang and Lang Co from the summits.After reaching the peak. You have access to tropical fruit, cold water, and a snack. After taking a photo and rehydrating, ride along the coast for 12 km to Da Nang City, passing resort complexes with enticing white sand beaches, and arriving at Hoi An Town. Reaching Hoi A refreshing beer break and check-in in the late afternoon. Spend the evening and the next day in Hoi an.

Day 12: Hoi An Back road

Cycling offers you an exciting challenge in both rural villages and ancient towns. We depart from the hotel and travel by paved, single-track road through serene villages, past water coconut palm trees, and into the bustling town of Hoi An. Spend some time taking this amazing picture of the Japanese covered bridge and communal homes. then on to the ancient ceramic villages of Thanh Ha, the herb hamlet of Tra Que, and the workshops of Thuy Linh Lattern lamp shades before returning to Hoi An for lunch. We take a journey to Cua Dai, where we swim at an impressive sand beach. Stay in Hoi An after dinner.

Day 13: Hoi An – Tam Ky –Quang Ngai
After saying goodbye to the quaint town, we rode over a dirt road from Resort to Duy Hai village, where we crossed a new bridge and rode by other fishing towns along the coast until we reached Ha Lam town, where we took a bus to Tam Ky town for lunch. We ride to the My Lai Massacre, which is now a museum of the War Remnants in Quang Ngai province, after lunch. We drive to Chi Thanh Town. We stayed at the hotel for the night tonight.

Day 14:  Quang Ngai - Sa Huynh – Quy Nhon

Day 16; Tuy Hoa  - Dam Mon – Nha Trang 
Commence riding your bicycle from the hotel, cross the bridge to reach the other side of Tuy Hoa city, follow the coast, and turn off the rural road where you will find breathtaking views of the sea, fascinating langoons, and challenging passes before reaching Vung Ro bay. Ascend the final pass to reach Highway 1, which meanders along the shore towards Dam Mon Island. Visit a nearby eatery for lunch. Upon replenishing our energy, we dismount our bike from Dam Mon and ride along the coast to Nha Trang, following the wind. Despite the year-round heat and hardships faced by the populace, the province boasts a lengthy stretch of beaches with emerald sand. Enjoy a lovely 35-kilometer bike ride that leads to Ke Ga. Eat lunch along the way, and then continue cycling the final 58 kilometers to Ho Tram.

Taking part in a 21-day bicycle tour across Vietnam, which departs from the north and ends in the south, is an excellent way to discover the remarkable natural beauty and vibrant culture of Hoa Binh, the gateway to the country's breathtaking northwest. Magnificent scenery may be seen in Pu Luong Nature Reserve, the diverse Cuc Phuong National Park, Cat Ba National Park, and Lan Ha Bay. We will begin our second week of cycling on the Heritage route, which passes through Hue Imperial, Hoi An, and My Son Holy Sanctuary. We keep riding south to discover more about the Nguyen Dynasty's capital city from 1802 to 1945.

It begins in Lang Co town and travels 24 kilometers to Da Nang city. Our journey is made even more thrilling and daring by the way it hugges the slope and faces the wide ocean on one side.
The next stop will be two UNESCO-recognized global cultural heritage sites. Ancient Hoi An town and the holy sanctuary of My Son.
The third week of cycling begins on the coastline road, which is regarded as Vietnam's most picturesque cycling route. Riding on a picturesque road, taking in the sun and the emerald-colored sea, one can cycle along the recently finished central coast that links the provinces in the center. The route passes through immaculate beaches, long stretches of white sand beaches dotted with lagoons, oases, and fishing farming areas that wind through the high slopes along the seashores or through the charming, rustic villages in the center.

Please note that while we operate successful cycling holidays in Vietnam throughout the year, some changes may occur in our itineraries due to inclement weather and common seasonal changes to timetables and transport routes. Price
Negotiating prices is a common practice in Vietnam, particularly in open-air markets, street shops, and rural areas. However, we are not good at bargaining and do not prefer this practice. Instead, we focus our time and efforts on tour arrangements, and our prices are fixed.

Safety
Wearing a helmet is compulsory on all our biking adventures. Our tour guide often carry first aid kit while riding. Please follow your guide while biking, and much attention is required while you cross streets.

Difficulty levels
To assist you visualize how our bike trip is difficult, we have graded our Vietnam cycling tours into three categories, easy, moderate, and challenging. We group many factors into consideration into this grading, including distant covered, terrain, altitude, and vehicle support.

Easy
Involves cycling for up to two to three hours a day at easy pace and usually, less than 3 days in duration. The cycling distances is around 15 – 30 km per day. There are likely to be no steep and sustained descents as well as demand for technical riding. We will normally ride on flat roads. Suitable for bikers who enjoy occasional weekend riding on trails at home. Push bikes are sometimes used for these itineraries.

Moderate
Involves biking for up to six hours a day at a steady pace and are usually between three to five days in duration. The cycling distance is about 35 – 55 km per day. Sometimes it can be long flat rides or medium ride with few up and downhill climbs. The support vehicle will not always be available. We will need a good level of fitness. We use either mountain bikes or road bikes for these itineraries.

Challenging
Involves biking in mountainous areas with big climbs for up to seven or eight hours a day and usually more than a week in duration. Cycling distance is about 60 – 80 km per day. There will be steep and sustained ascents and descents. The support vehicle will not always be available. These trips will provide a real sustained workout even for fit and experienced mountain bikers.

Accommodation
When cycling we mostly stay in small hotel, guesthouse or homestay. Some are more basic than others! Bear in mind that some of the places we overnight in are not on the standard tourist trail. In larger cities and towns, our hotels are generally more western style and are three or four star hotels (price option).

Camping is not available on cycling tours in Vietnam unless it is required and this should be booked months in advance. Camping is only available in a limited number of places such as Cat Ba island beach, Cuc Phuong national park…Please see the details on the quote.

Tour guide
Most of our tour guides speak English. Some other speak French. Few speak other language such as German, Russian, Spanish. All our guides have great knowledge of history, local culture, and religions of the area where you are cycling. Our guides have been trained in this field and is fully licensed in tour guiding.

Bike mechanic
We arrange a bike mechanic only for large groups or when it is required (with surcharge). When there is no mechanic, our guide will take care of problem which may occur during the bike ride.

Transportation
Depending on the nature of the tour, our cycle journeys will be accompanied by an air-conditioned car/minibus cover the larger overland sections. We often use mini bus or bus for transfer and back up (guided tours).
1 – 2 travelers: we use minivan to support and carry bikes. Sometimes we use a car for passengers and a truck for transport of the bikes.
3 – 6 people: we use one minivan for passengers and one truck for the bikes.
7 – 12 people: we use one bus (coach) for passengers and one truck for the bikes.
We provide bike rental and truck for self-guided bike tours.

We sometimes use local push-bikes (single-speed bicycles) where possible or when it is required. In this case, our cars will be arranged as follows.
1 – 2 passengers (with a tour guide): 4 seat car.
3 – 6 passengers (with a tour guide): 15/16 seat minivan.
7 – 12 passengers (with a tour guide): 29 seat coach/bus.

Bikes repairs
Basic spares and tools kit are generally carried by our guide or bike mechanic or on the support vehicle, although we can not guarantee having spares for every conceivable problem.

Food and drinks
All the meals which, are mentioned in itinerary (B=Breakfast; L=Lunch; D=Dinner), are included in the tour price. Most of meals are Vietnamese local food. Vegetarians are certainly welcome and are always accommodated, please let us know of any dietary concerns at time of booking. Beverage and alcoholic drinks are not included at mealtime or in restaurants.

Snacks and water
When we transfer, ride by minibus (no cycling day), our bottled waters are always available for you in the car/van. When we have cycling days, we will offer cold water (summer) plus fresh tropical fruits, soft drinks are also available in the car/van. Please take a look at the “Inclusions” section on our our service proposal to see whether the service is included in the price. Please note drinks are not included at mealtime or in restaurant.

Packing
Comfortable lightweight clothing in natural fabrics such as cotton is most suitable for traveling in Vietnam. The dress code is fairly casual as in most parts of the tropics but it is advisable to cover arms and legs in the evenings against biting insects. A lightweight raincoat is a good idea in the rainy season. During the winter months warm clothing is needed for visiting the north of Vietnam. Visitors should not wear shorts, short skirts or other skimpy clothing when visiting religious buildings such as pagoda, temple and shoes should be removed before entering a private home.
What you take will naturally depend upon where you are traveling and the style of journey you are undertaking, and it can often be difficult to decide what to pack. Nevertheless, the following should act as a useful checklist of essential items worth thinking about taking.

Tipping
Tipping for good services is always appreciated. It is customary, though not compulsory, to tip tour guides and drivers at the end of the tour. Hotels and station porters should also be tipped a small amount for.
We recommend about 4-6 USD/traveler/day for the tour guide, about 2-3 USD/traveler/day for the driver (or the mechanic). Of course you are free to tip more or less as you see fit, depending on your perception of service quality, the length and the difficulty of your trip.

Community
Prior to our tours, we contact and work with local community leaders to make sure we are welcome and in a manner that minimizes negative social and cultural impacts. We visit local development and community projects specific to the region, encouraging customers to donate and assist such a projects in appropriate and sustainable manner.
Where make sure that where and whenever possible our tours positively benefit the local community. We stayed at locally owned accommodation and visit cottage industries for local handicraft souvenir, generating income for local business. We often employ, hire support team such as local guide, motor-taxi drivers, cook assistants on all trips to ensure that the local community benefit not only short term but with increased employment opportunities for the future.
