Welcome to Myanmar, the country just opened itself to the world and now waiting people to discover its unique Buddhist culture and heritage.

Upon your arrival in Yangon, the former capital of Myanmar but nowadays one of the most developed city in Myanmar, your local guide will welcome you at the airport then escort you to hotel.

In the evening, enjoy a Myanmar royal style welcome dinner on a floating marble boat.

Rise early in the morning to visit the Shwedagon Pagoda which is the largest pagoda with painted real gold in Yangon. Benefit for visit the pagoda in early morning you will enjoy an quiet and extremely peaceful atmosphere to watch local people and monks pray in front of the Pagoda.

Transfer back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast you will visit the Reclining Buddha (Chaok-Htat-Gyi) and Mahabandoola Park.

Have some rest after lunch, in the afternoon, enjoy some free time wander around in Bogyoke Market and the then Bogyoke Market busy streets of Yangon’s famous China Town and Yangon Jetty. Finish your day off at the riverside where the road flanked by colonize style builds which will give you the impression of Myanmar in old time.

Transfer to airport for domestic flight to Bagan in early morning.

Upon arrival in Bagan, you will be welcomed by your local guide at the airport then transfer you to hotel.

Bagan, where you will be amazed by its thousands of Buddhists pagodas spread in the area of the Ancient City of ‘Bagan’. These pagodas used to own by individual families during its prosperous time.

Your will visit the Nyaung Oo Market where local people buying food in daily life, visit the Shwezigon Pagoda which is the largest pagoda in Bagan painted with real gold.

Have a rest in hotel in the hottest time in afternoon. Then enjoy a Horse Cart Ride for the sun set, you will climb up to the top of the Shesandaw Pagoda for sun set then take the horse cart back to hotel. It is an unforgettable feeling of taking the horse cart ride on the off road treks through the pagodas when it’s quiet in dusk.

This morning start your scenic drive to Mount Popa, an extinct volcano with its golden shrines. Situated 50 km southeast of Bagan, this solitary peak showcases the Popa Taungkalat shrine, the favored home of Myanmar’s most powerful “Nats” (local spirits), statues of which can be found at its base. These spirits were once so important to the country's early Kings that it was essential for them to consult the Nats before commencing their reign. The shrine is located at the top of the mountain, and if you have the energy, take off your shoes and socks to climb to the top (well worth the climb!) Along the way are a multitude of monkeys expecting treat!

Along the way, stop by a local village to learn about local culture and lifestyle. Then enjoy lunch at a hill resort.   On the way back visit a palm sugar workshop, where the harvested nectar from local trees is cooked into the sugar cubes we see in teashops today.

Enjoy free time in the morning until transfer to airport for onward flight to Mandalay. Upon you arrive in Mandalay, your local guide will meet you in the airport and escort you to hotel.

After a rest in the hotel, you will visit Mahamuni Image where you will see local people pray and stick gold paper on the Buddha for blessing. You can also try to make your wish and donate money (buy) for gold paper to stick the gold paper on the statue (only man allowed to stick the gold). On the way to the Mahamuni Image, you will visit a gold paper factory to see how people made the gold leaf. Visit the Shwenandaw Monastery which means ‘Golden Palace Monastery” and was built in 19th century and well known for its teak carving of Buddhist myths. Visit the Kuthodaw Pagoda which is a Buddhist stupa that contains the world’s largest book of Buddhism.

Finish your day at the top of Mandalay Hill for a stunning sun set..

In the morning, about 30 Mins drive to Sagaing, the capital of Sagaing Division in Myanmar and located on the Ayeyarwady River, 20 km to the southwest of Mandalay on the opposite bank of the river. Cross Innwa Bridge, built by British in 1934. Firstly you will visit the Maha Ganayon Kyaung Monastery to see hundreds of monks line up for daily meals at 10:15am. Then visit the U Bein Bridge which is 1.2 kilometers long and is the longest teakwood bridge in the world.

Continue to visit Kaung Mu Taw Pagoda; the dome shaped pagoda rises up to 46 meters. At the base of the pagoda there are 812 stone pillars, each one with a hollow and an image of a Nat in it. Continue visit to Sagaing Hill, the hill has a number of small pagodas and with many meditation centers and Soon U Ponya Shin Pagoda; it is located on Sagaing Hill. You can stop at monasteries and nunneries and talk with them while taking green tea from hot tea pot and palm-sugar.

Lunch at local restaurant in Sagaing and take a short break, then continue visit Amarapura,"City of Immortality" situated 11 km to the south of Mandalay and the ancient temple of Pahtodawgyi which was built in 1820 in the Inva ancient town. Drive back to Mandalay and rest is your own leisure.

In the morning, you will start your cultural tour of Chiang Mai. First stop at Kad Ton Payom Market, renowned for its fresh fruits and flowers, aromatic spices and northern Thai cuisine. You can participate in the local tradition of almsgiving — offering food to Buddhist monks. Continue to the Buddhist temple of Wat Umong, nestled in the forested foothills of Suthep Mountain. Learn about the Buddhist proverbs posted throughout the grounds in English and Thai before you head inside to see the impressive Buddha statue. You’ll also visit the 14th-century Wat Suan Dok, a white bell-shaped temple housing a 20-foot (6-meter) Buddha. See the large prayer hall and the unique open-sided chapel, then enjoy an opportunity to chat with a monk about Buddhism and temple life.

After lunch, visit the Meow Hill Tribe Village where locates on the Mountain Doi Pui and it was once famous for opium cultivation. Continue to visit the Temple Wat Doi Suthep where you will enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the Chiang Mai City. If you like, here is also one of the best places to enjoy sunset.

Enjoy a full day visit to Elephant Nature Park; a natural home and sanctuary for elephants, buffalos, dogs, cats, birds and many other rescued animals.

Your visit starts with a picturesque drive through rural countryside to Elephant Nature Park. You will hear the personal stories of rescued and orphaned elephants. See how they became a proud herd and free from abuse for the first time in their lives.

Many find their visit to Elephant Nature Park rewarding and very relaxing. Observe free roaming elephants (no riding), and other rescued animals enjoying the natural surroundings of our sanctuary.

Itinerary:

Starting From: 8:00am - 8:30am from your Chiang Mai city hotel or you must be at our office at 7:40am.

Feeding the Elephants. After unloading and distributing fruit treats you will have a chance to feed the elephants from the viewing platform.

Lunch: Enjoy a sumptuous and varied buffet of Asian and International dishes.        

Walk with our staff and the elephants to the river that skirts the park. Bathe these gentle giants as they splash around. If going into the river is not for you then watch the elephants bathe and play while you stay dry on the river bank.

Late afternoon and it`s time for goodbyes to the elephants and to Elephant Nature Park before the hour-long drive back to Chiang Mai where you will be dropped off at your accommodations.

This morning, enjoying your free morning until transfer to the airport for your flight to Bangkok. Upon arrival, your private local guide from IndochinaTour.com will welcome you at the airport then escorts you to visit the Grand Palace, a beautiful example of an ancient Siamese court, and Wat Phra Kaew, home to the revered Emerald Buddha statue. Then, ride like a Local by tuk-tuk to Wat Pho temple, to behold the 150-foot-long Reclining Buddha statue. Next, explore the city’s renowned klongs (canals) by boat and cruise the Chao Phraya River. Also visit Wat Arun and the Royal Barge Museum.

This morning visit Damnoen Saduak Floating Market where you will experience the traditional Thai market with numerous vendors selling local foods, fruits and products from their boats. Explore the market before continuing on to Kanchanburi to learn about the region's storied past and present-day culture. Made famous by the book and movie The Bridge on the River Kwai, the infamous bridge and railway is a notable part of the Kanchanaburi landscape. Visit the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre to get an understanding of the deadly, Herculean task many Thais were faced with decades ago.

Take some time to just relax here, before making your way back to Bangkok hotel.

After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight to the ancient city of Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, you will escort to visit the Royal Palace Museum (closed on Tuesday), which hosts a range of interesting artifacts. See the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground and representing classical Laotian architecture. Visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham.

In the afternoon, Visit the Arts and Ethnology Centre to learn about Laos’ many ethnic cultures before heading out of town to see the weaving villages of Ban Xiengkhong and Ban Xienglek. Later this afternoon return to the city for a visit to Wat Mai. Finally climb to the top of Mount Phousi to explore the sacred, gilded stupa and a sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. Finally visit the famous Night Market, where you’ll find handmade textiles made by local and hill tribe peoples living in the surroundings.

Overnight in Luang Prabang.

This morning, embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River. Along the way, stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where Laos rice wine and rice whiskey is produced. . You'll be able to try some and learn about the process used to make it. Then on to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves filled with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims.

Lunch will be served near the caves. You'll have the opportunity to try a local dish called "Orlam" which is a soup with vegetables and features a spicy wood that is partially edible. On return, disembark to visit the traditional weaving village of Ban Phanom, famous for its hand woven textiles.

Continue to explore the beautiful Khouang Si Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools or walk along the forest trails.
